  • Has Chopin been reincarnated?

  • Practice in the room day in day out... that's performance

  • 0: 16 Mother of god... she is blonde.

  • @J88killer It's beautiful

  • Is it even possible to play like that? Fur Elise ain't even that fast and it makes me sweat whenever i practice it.

  • @miranda746 no offence, but try harder, cause fur elise is like the standard tune you learn to play on piano, because it's so darn easy :P (not to be confused, easy technical, doesn't make it easy to sound good an feelable)

  • THUMBS UP IF YOU <3 LISITSA AND <3 THE MUSIC SHE PLAYS

  • wow.....

  • Thanks for posting this video. I just began working on this song and I wanted to play it correctly, seeing that you did. It helps. Thanks for posting this vid! ESPORTS = THE FUTURE

  • @micahkhin it's called a "piece" not a song.

  • @DuhuKaralius who cares...

  • @pguiver what was my comment?

  • @pguiver oh, yes it does. well, you know. why don't you call cat a dog? same is with pieces and songs.

  • Where are those fingers?

  • Posted on "Starcraft on Reddit"

  • I want to kiss her hands

  • and then the piano burst into flames seconds later from the vibrations of the chords.

  • Shes the only woman i know that should not be put in the kitchen

  • ahahahahahahah!

  • I wish the camera angle was at the punk left hand shots at the end. That's more impressive than the RH at that moment.

  • Does she have her eyes closed?? Mutherfu-

  • @librazebra132435 it doesn't matter if she has her eyes closed or not, cuz if you can play that piece at that speed, you most likely don't need to even see the pieces. It takes an average piano player over a year to polish this piece to exam standards. For Lisitsa, it probably took over 5 years to make it concert standard. It isn't really a big feat to close your eyes and play a piece after you've been playing it for five years. Chances are she could probably rewrite the piece backwards.

  • I can't find the words to describe your greatness

  • fierce

  • eres realmente impresionante soy una gran admiradora tulla mucha suerte y exito en todo

  • She must have some asian blood flowing within those blood vessels of hers!

  • everytime i try and learn chopin it makes me realise hw shit at piano i am lol

  • Increíble. Es imposible hacerlo más rápido, con esa precisión y esa claridad.

  • wonder what kind of hand lotion she uses...

  • she must have asian blood

  • @Bakuabc she's romanian

  • @cotocott ukrainian! and how is that not asian?

  • @mortalfrog0815 Ukraine is in Europe.

  • @ynni damn, that's embarassing! sorry...

  • @cotocott 404 error :no sense of humor has been founded

  • Richter played that faster :)

  • youtube.com/user/bcerochford

  • è molto brava, ma le manca qualcosa

  • @Distefanix

E' ironico o lo dici seriamente?

  • daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn

  • wtw i got this glitch where i tried to skip the ad by skipping the beginning by dragging the circle thing and it WORKED! so i went to the beginning to start over and BAM! the ad started! but weirdly enough, i could hear the ad and the music AT THE SAME TIME! and after the ad, it went back to the beginning.

you can try this, im not sure if it will, but thumbs up if u try this and it works

  • @PianoDude1011 or if u skip the ad completely

  • 美しくない

  • @totorion 何がですか

  • fast foreward not in original tempo

  • INCREIBLEMENTE SORPRENDENTE!!!!! DESDE VENEZUELA!

  • that's some apm

  • @Miniburka I bet she could play the shit out of some Starcraft.

  • @timmgrey XD I think the same. )))

  • Those hand movements look like 2 spiders on coke.

  • @immortalperser if i saw spiders liek that id freak out and kill myself lolz

  • One of the best performances I've seen along side Richter. Most I've heard the tempo seems all over the place and both hands are played really unevenly. This performance and the 1:37min Richter video are perfect in my opinion.

  • noo wayyy :O:O

  • 1 million notes in 107 seconds :S

  • @TempesTr

so shes hitting 9345.79439 notes per second?

  • E' come un bolide nella velocità; però talvolta con la velocità sfuggono imperfezioni esecutive che molti non percepiscono perchè i passaggi scorrono troppo veloci per essere in grado di percepirli distintamente.

  • oh my truly god...

  • Stop moving the camera angels so much... i just want a good isometric view of the keys and enjoy watching it being played.

  • 1.2 million hits, eh? A good percentage of this is from me, I think. I'll never get tired of this.

  • very talented pianist (Chopin would be very proud of her)

  • She abused the hell out of that piano with those hands. I can only imagine what her hands would do to my dick.....wait.....what?

  • no need to compare this to gaga coz first of all it has different genre

  • this is so good i-cant-stop-hitting-replay

  • Piece of cake

  • Man o man ... amazing amazing what a skills

  • lol she plays starcraft!??

  • Beautifull, and I also understand the choice for the instrument nowadays a dark horse

  • Absolutely perfect, that's all I have to say for this rendition. I started and stopped this piece countless times, now if only I put my mind to it..

  • i am jealous.

  • Fucking advertisments! Really, that corporate shit takes out the joy of YouTube for me.

  • @Kanarie1973 even in communism you have advertisements, only instead of consumer goods, it's mao, stalin, or some other dictator that they're trying to sell. You can't escape it.

  • so amazing. just so enjoyable

  • i couldnt move my fingers so fast without pushing the keys..... :/

  • Bravo! Bravissimo!

  • are we sure that she has five fingers on each hand?

  • I cant even hit the wrong notes that fast

  • @insaneguitarfrettet - LOL. Me neither!

  • She is talented PLUS she has worked very hard. That is why she is so successful. Congratulations to Valentina Lisitsa. Ella es talentosa MÁS ha trabajado duro. Por eso es tan exitoa. Congratulaciones a Valentina Lisitsa.

  • @cevallosa2

thanks for the two languages. I only understand English, however.

  • Is this profile owned by Valentina herself? :)

  • @Pavle245 yes

  • she gave a man a hand job once... he died

  • @guycrosswell God... men have some weird ways to compliment a woman.

  • The best performing of this Etude

  • もっと一つ一つの音ハッキリとたいせつに

  • do not tell me this is not sped up!! what amazing talent!!

  • @will5ification Talent? I think you've mistaken talent for incredibly hard work. Dedication for real

  • Thank you so much for sharing your unbelievable performance with us Valentina. You give me goose pimples to listen to this master piece every time I listen to this.

  • I love the energy she gives when she plays the piano

  • Some people watch these kind of videos and get seriously demotivated. I can't understand that attitude. This is so great that after watching it I want to play like that, even if I know it's impossible.

  • Valentina, may I ask which etudes were the most difficult ones to learn?

  • Valentina, you blow me away. Fantastic!

  • Very colorful!!!

  • now do you believe richter's video isn't sped-up? she came close

  • i tried waking up to this as my alarm signal. I bathed in 3 seconds and ran to my car in 10. Boooya!

  • @Timothycawley I bought it from Amazon. It is still in stock now. I love Valentina so much!!!

  • Is this DVD still available anywhere?

  • I think that most of the viewers have chosen this video because of her dress

  • I'm always wondering how long it takes to learn such a piece for such a talent, for who it is her proffession. I, as a pianoplayer, would have to practice a year for such a thing, while I play pieces as Moonlight Sonata mov3 and so...

  • @TimKoopman10 Do you study at a conservatory? If so, ask your professors.

In an interview, Leif Ove Andsnes stated that whereas memorizing and practicing on pieces didn't take long, he spent long hours experimenting on the most optimal fingering. In another, he went back to master Rachmaninoff's third concerto, after having played it when he was younger. I think he said he spent over a year on it, despite knowing it well already.

  • YOU ARE AMAZING!!

Are you going to come to Australia anytime soon?

  • When you are first learning a piece like this, it seems like it's impossible. As you practice, it gets easier. After awhile it's almost like your hands have a mind of their own. I think the hardest part way back when was those freakin lessons, but they are very important.

  • No word can express my admiration to you, love you so much

  • Doh! O_O

  • Just as good as Richter, love it

  • My favorite Etude!

  • Just when you think you're getting the better of your keys, you watch youtube for some inspiration and... BAM you realise just how crappy you really are. A long road ahead, maybe in 20's years time eh?

  • @NicenEasyuk HAHA!! happens to me all the time!! Freaking discouraging!!

  • @NicenEasyuk Nah, don't look at that way. People love to show off with this piece.

Just remember, you only get to be where you're at, once! You'll get better, but in the meantime, just play with all your soul where you're at, right now, and enjoy the moment.

  • How many words (keys) per minute??? LOL

  • this is so unbelievable!!!

  • Esteerdet hilfirkommaniste unde swelfior golokoqastei

  • this has more notes than the entire Lady Gaga discography

  • @Henry14arsenal2007

    thie first 3 seconds does

  • @Henry14arsenal2007 i think it really does cuz lady gaga just repeats

  • @Henry14arsenal2007 By thw way Gaga is a perfect classical trained pianist and a genius musician, your irony is irrelevant

  • @Henry14arsenal2007 Hahahahaaha!

  • @Henry14arsenal2007

Her discography has...notes? I was pretty sure it was wailing and screeching to technological sounds with no sense of pitch, tone, music, timbre, or anything at all?

  • @spock101010 Pretty much

  • HOLY**********! :o)

  • I know she's hot, etc. ect. but damn is that piano sexy.

  • she has the technique and she practise hard, things that she can do are limitless

  • wowwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!

  • Really good =D. Just wished that she would use more pedal :/

  • .. woah... this is just so... amazeing.. so fast her hands goes

  • All I can do is laugh when I watch this because my brain doesn't know how to respond to my getting face-melted by a piano. Well done, madame, well done.

  • her hands move unwittingly

  • She reminds me of Pogorelich... very much. I call her the female Pogorelich. She is absolutely BRILLIANT.

  • Wow, not bad.

    -the etude begins- WOAAAOOWWW!!!!!!

  • @pianistemre2 LOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • IS THAT WOMAN??!!! :-/

  • 0:00 this...

  • i am hooked to her playing the piano.

  • My ears just got screwed. Hard. And they LOVED it.

  • yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!

  • WAAWOOOOOOW

  • wow i cant stop listening to the start its just so epic...brings so many emotions

  • lovely silk dress so hot

  • one of my top 3 chopin etudes after 25 12 in c minor and 10 12 in c minor

  • i never thought anyone could play better than Richter..

    I was so wrong !!

  • lol as seen on "StarCraft... " ...

  • @bachu95 what?

  • @putoboss

High (worldwide) ranked players of Starcraft have a high number of Actions Per Minute where they just press many many keys very quickly. Kind of like an Etude really.. Lol.

  • @6fortyam nah starctaft is 2 easy compared

  • @LsN1905 your eye also will hurt =P

  • hmmmmm, the video goes out of sync with her fingers while she is playing so fast^.^
