and its not 400 hp..... A Gutted eg with a type R swap would SPANK a stock Evo on the hwy.....an Evo is much faster than the A4. That car is probably like 200-250hp. Weight/hp ratio is king in these cases

@h1coupe all cars in general, putting that much power into a car will wear down the parts faster, a 4 cyl pushing 400 hp, thats 100 per piston, imagine the ammount of wear the engine has to take, im not saying the honda is a shitty car, but 400 hp to any small engine will require it being rebuilt more often then a standard stock hp car. my friend has an audi 1.8t thats pushing 500hp plus, yet when he races it he needs to rebuild it often

can't resist... the fastest tire driven (jet cars etc. not tire driven) cars in the 1/4 are not i4s or 6s its v8s (tony schumacher) so please... even you honda guys know bigger is better (engine swaps with k20s or h22s) so please there is NO replacement for displacement. technology can and is applied to both v8s and 4s, more is simply more hands down- can't wait for the haters to respond to my comments

They are also simple so they are a great way to learn about DIY mechanics. "its still a civic on the outside" is the whole point to alot of them. The sleeper grin factor. Some people are all about money and the "look at me factor" others want to have fun with their cars.

@JPARKERZ28 dude anything thats not eco freindly in cali is shuned. plenty local shops have several high 8's low 9's honda's that they slap slicks on at the track run em a whole day, then put street tires on and drive it back. and yes i guess in theory bigger engine is better, but look at formula one. a mid 2 liter v8 (small as hell) are puttin over 800. so really its more of the engine design rather than if it has more liters or cylinders.
