  • preciosa la casa lo caro que habra sido hacer eso!

  • Talk about a back breaking, teeth gritting job. Way to EARN your living. I salute you house movers.

  • That is a great house! Congrats to the folks who saved it! It is a really interesting video.

  • who else feels the need to be inside that house while they're doing that? Watching tv, making dinner and such. (i realize that with no power those things would be impossible)

  • Thank god they moved it and not tear it down, its really beautiful

  • Nice comments here about this move.

I looked it up and the Google Earth Latitude / Longitude Coordinates for where this structure sits now are: 41°49'40.99"N , 71°24'10.78"W

Copy and paste those into a map viewer , whatever you have, and it'll take you right to it, satellite views, street views; all that.

Thanks for showing us this video, genevate.

    =^.^=

  • When they said they were moving houses, they meant it literally.

  • They Make it look so easy

  • Wow, I can't believe it only took one minute fifty three to move that giant house from foundation to foundation. Gee, I hope those guys weren't getting paid by the hour.

Also, why were all those cars going so fast near the site, I guess it is an expressway.

    Heavy movers move the world!

  • The video itself was fast forwarded. It probably took a lot of grueling hours to move it.

That's why the cars and everything else were moving pretty fast.

  • I guess you don't understand the concept of ~a joke~ I have been a builder for 25 years and have moved many houses. That move probably took five months at least between mobilization and actual move. That is why I put the "heavy movers..." . I understand where you could get that perception though. There is a lot of stupid people on the internets ( sic)

  • Wow. So quick to judge, huh?

Well, so sorry to be so "stupid" as to try and politely correct something they thought was a mistake instead of actually bashing it.

Oh, but I understand where you could get that perception though.

  • Jeez, you have a little inferiority complex thing going on there don't ya? Firstly, I didn't say "you" were stupid. That would have looked something like this EXAMPLE; You're stupid. I don't know youm so I would never make that conclusion from a simple comment. You may be a genius. I Just stated there is a lot of stupid people on the internet. Often things are misconstrued. I just made a joke and some will get it and obviously some won't. You're not stupid, You're apparently helpful. bon fortuna

  • I went to your channel and now everything is much clearer. You're Hawaiian, and only 19. It is cool that you would even come to this video to watch a building being moved. That makes you very smart in my book. I wish you peace and beauty in your tropical paradise. Wahini!

I ka 'olelo no ke ola, i ka 'olelo no ka make.

  • Just because I was born in Hawaii, doesn't mean I'm a true Hawaiian. It's great you know the language but unfortunately I don't. And the only reason why I am here in the first place is because I was given a link, but it doesn't matter anyway.

Peace here? Lol Maybe now that the tsunami warning was canceled, yeah.

And wahini? Could be "wahine,: but.. Other than that, I dunno what it means.

Web chat can be so misunderstanding sometimes. That's what gets us all in a pickle. Lol But it's all cool.

  • Sorry bout that. but wahini is slang for beautiful girl. and

I ka 'olelo no ke ola, i ka 'olelo no ka make.

Translation: In speech is life, in speech is death

    .

. The saying tells the Hawaiians that words can either be a source for healing or destroying and so we need to be careful with our words.

I only know a couple words from living in cali for a while. I copied and pasted the other because I thought it was on topic. peace

  • There are a lot of beautiful old houses like that up there on College hill and Brown university owns a lot of them. They most probally own this one too. Good job workers.

  • DATZ K0OL...IT'Z A PRETTY BIG HOUSE

  • wow, it's like moving a big doll house!

  • Haha! Wow, I remember walking by that this summer when they were moving it. A very cool process to watch, if not slow.

  • lol

  • why did they move the house?

  • They did it to make room for the "Brown Walk" which is supposed to be this wide path made up of grass, park-like areas that will connect the main campus to the Pembroke campus a few blocks away. Also, they plan on constructing new buildings along the walk.

  • great!

  • awesome
