Question: Have you ever used an AdvancedElements inflatable? I'm having to make a choice between the Malibu Mini-x kayaks (stackable right?) and the Advanced Elements Convertible.
@kismoore i considered the AE kayaks but decided against them due to the low water levels in my area, the rivers here are rocky with class 1-3 rapids and think the AE wouldve taken too much of a beating. is deeper water they should be ok.
the Mini-X was a little more $ than i wanted to spend but overall im happy with it, had an Emotion Spitfire been available idve gotten it and saved a little cash. at least a seat is included with the Spitfire.
Cute little thing. Looks a little less stable than the MalibuMiniX..yeah?
I will have a little bit of money to spend. I dont have money to burn but the kayaks are physical therapy expenses, so I can afford 3 of the MalibuMiniX's. I like the fact that they stack. It will make travel easier for me with my handicap. My 2 teens will be doing most of the loading, unloading, etc. but I want a very stable, easy to control, lightweight kayak.
@kismoore the miniX is supposed to be one of the more stable small kayaks out there, i can stand in it with no fear of it tipping (keeping my balance is another story!). good luck with them. i may have to buy another myself as my wife started laying claim to the miniX when we go out on the water now.
Forget water shoes, those things are good shoes in general. Aside from work I wear them all the time. Just be careful, you have to retrain yourself in walking with them or you destroy your heels. Actually, that may be your biggest problem walking around, heel striking starts to become painful real quick just walking in them. I was going to recommend a hike, but I'd first advise just plain walking around in them.
I used to do a lot of canoeing when I was a teenager. We had a 3 man canoe that would carry 2 people and a lot of gear very well. I used to really really enjoy that.
lovethevideo.

and with the drain plug you can drill a hole at the bottom where you wanted the drain plug and install a female plug and putty up the previous plug:)

Curious...can you stand and sightfish from your Malibu Mini X. Would love a video on how to stand up properly.

Beautiful scenery. Done some inflatable boat rowing on rivers but never kayaking. Looks fun. The underwater vid was muy cool.
