@queenkixass i probably luv sweet just as much as u do, if not more, n freeddy got the best voice in ROCK no compare, but this dude from Sweet aaaaa1st of all Jon Anderson from Yes i kno to each his own opion
I must have been a real retard back when this was released.. i would sit for hours making the eye wink with the paper cut out on the album cover.... lol
@DrFeelRotten Just had to reply. Your comment made me chuckle! I had this warped visual image of you obsessively making the eye wink! I was just a little girl back in the fab 70s, The Sweet was etched into my brain back then, & I have loved them ever since!
In 1976, me and my friend Mark Miura were at the Hollywood Tower Records, and they had a ton of promo stickers for this album at the door. On the way out we just scooped up a bunch of 'em and proceeded to plaster them all over the place--bus benches, poles, sidewalks, our foreheads--we were teenage kids with nothing better to do! It was pretty funny to see those eyes from the album cover staring at you all over the place on the street! And the album STILL sounds great and rocks HARD...ah, youth.
Part of the second to last solo sounds like highway star!! Awesome! I agree with the Blakemore comments. Brian had one of the most distinguishable voices in Rock history SO SADLY UNDERATED!!! UNDERATED !!! UNDERATED !!!
MOST OF THE BANDS TODAY CAN ONLY DREAM OF PLAYING THIS WELL

Isn't it a bloody shame that they don't get the credit they deserve? They were the Best live band ever, Mick Tucker's drum solo was incredible, and Andy was up there with Blackmore easily!!!
the black tab on top of the album cover was for pulling out the inner sleeve.
when you did so it changed the 'winking eye' to an 'open eye' through the cut out on the outer cover. when you put the inner sleeve back in the album cover, it would "give you a wink" very SWEET.
best band ever andy realy turns on the power in this belter headphones on close the eyes and just listen to wow sweet fan all my life at 48 years now there sound gets better with age irish fanatic who else out ther
GREAT guitars, drums ,vocals. bass...what else is there?

The album cover has "Queen are a bunch of winkers" written in the wall grafitti on the back - with the word "Queen" not very well smudged :D

Sounds a bit like replanted roots from "burn on the flame" .
Great guitar work. Is that an ARP in the end?

i adored Sweet when i was yuong but it is now i really understand how underestimated this band is. They are extremely prosfessional musicians.
This song - what can i say. it dont get much better.
