  • what does this have to do with HDR??

  • do you know the best camera settings on the 60d with moviemode while using jpeg rather than raw? thnx

  • He uploaded this video before he recorded it :)

  • highlight tone priority doesn't do anything if you are shooting raw only jpeg..thats the whole point of shooting raw no processing on camera

  • Thanks so much for posting! I don't know why I've never thought about doing this? Everytime I shoot HDR, I've gotta remember to switch to ISO 100, AV mode, set bracketing, set 2 second timer etc. Now I can do it all with one switch to C1! Duh! And once there, you can make adjustments too.

  • This guy is teaching yet his video is OOF ahhhhh

  • canonandnikonnews.blogspot.com/

  • like like like :)

  • duuude

  • me like

  • where can i find the C2 button?

  • @faithnmatt Are you not serious??? C2 is one of the options on "Mode Selector"

  • How do you keep going around the settings with the display on? When I do that my screen goes black.

    Thanks

  • @lovecats9999 same here

  • Great idea. I set mine up similarly, but I turned on exposure bracketing instead of using all three custom modes.

  • Set it to High Speed Continuous shooting and not the 2 second timer for bracketing on the 7D. I might be wrong.

  • I fail to see a proper HDR technology for the 7D here. On my Powershot I have the option to make 3 pictures at once with different lightings, that can be used to manually make a HDR picture. On the iPhone the pictures are automatically put together right after being shot....

On my 7D I can't find any setting that does HDR for me, pitty because it is my best camera

  • @DerWichtel you can't compare the powershot or iphone HDR mode to the real HDR workflow. you need to bracket and run it through an HDR program. how do you have a 7d and not know that?

  • @thedamon

Well naturally, switching from Canons SX Superzoom models to 7D SLR will bring up such questions. Plus HDR is still pretty new to me.

I understand that I'll manually have to combine the pictures for the best results (well for any results). But even thou your idea of using saved settings is a creative workaround, it will require a tripod for good results.

I'm sure there must be some way, to get the 7D to shoot from -2 to +2 in Hispeed mode without manually adjusting inbetween.

  • For being a 720p HD video, this video is quite horrible in quality.

  • What settings do you have for C1?

  • Thanks

  • Can you create time lapse with the canon 350d digital ?.

  • Many thanks great idea :)

  • Hi, do you have settings for shooting film. I use: Neutral/Sharpness down, contrast down, saturation -2... what do you think? Thank! Just confused as to if I should use neutral or standard

  • i am beginner and this vid helps me a lot! good job!

  • you have a 11 for custom controls wht does that mean?

  • Excellent video !!! Very informative !!!!!

  • question! how many brackets can you set in the bracket exposre? Like my xsi has 3 i know more pro cameras can do like 7 which you can get more tonal range hit me up im wanting this camera thanks dude awesome video

  • Every time I switch my dial mode from Manual to C1, C2 or C3 my [Q] screen turns and I have to press the button each time to bring up my settings. How do you keep it consistent?

    Appreciate the valuable information though.

  • @Moutassim

i was wondering the EXACTT same thing.

hit the INFO button until the Q screen pops up. youll notice that when you turn the shutter and aperture wheels, the values respond respectfully. when you hit the Q button, the normal function of the wheels changes the setting for the highlighted icon.

So, just hit INFO THREE times. you do not have to hit the Q button first.

    amazing.

  • @BRAVOSNIPER47 THANK YOU!

  • is that the Canon Battery Grip ? or from Phottix or others ?

  • @Mauritz12 It is the Zeikos battery grip. I shared my thoughts on the battery grip on my Unifiedphoto blog under Reviews.
