To many people watch shows like 24 and Prison Break which makes them think that these people would just start running around and killing people. You brought up the guy in Atlanta who had no where near as much tight security as those ones who would have.

So much fear is tossed around specially on Fox that it's sad. And on torture subject go watch Mancow get waterboarded and only lasted 8sec, and said yes it's torture. It only brings more fuel against the US.

Now what about the ones who are innocent though? You are aware there are some people who have been found innocent and released so surely there are more. What about the taxi driver who was only just near a base, was arrested, tortured until he died.

Now people in the Armed forces are going to be pushed so that they can withstand certain types of torture including waterboarding. Why do you think they even do it? It's against the Geneva Convention to do waterboarding on prisoners.

Actually there was evidence, and if you knew anything about the case you would understand that the judge who released them didn't want to release them, but had to because "hearsay" evidence, along with three short transcripts, isn't enough to stand up in civilian court. The same judge's order to deny their release was overruled by the Supreme Court, then sent back to his desk so he had no choice. In fact, 50 of the terrorists we've released have been recaptured fighting against our troops.

By trying prisoners in criminal court you have to discuss issues which are sensitive to national security. By holding military tribunals, we are assured that these terrorists won't get off the hook due to a technicality. If they are aquitted in those trials, we know it's legit, not because of some procedural mistake which could be the case in civilian court. These are bad guys, and it's very important that they don't slip through the cracks unless they truly are innocent.
