I think he still has it going on! "STILL THE SAME" and he is telling how almost every American feels right now. He always was the man for "every man". I think he also looks great for his age.
This is probably my favorite song from this album. Bobs new stuff don't have the fire that the older stuff had. I mean you don't hear the drive like you heard on Long Twin Silver Line, Mary Lou, Katmandu, and stuff like that.
@musicianforjesus WOW I have to respectably disagree with this comment. First of all i believe this is his best album by far since stranger in town and when was that one released 1977-78. The song Between is as hard a rocking song he has ever done. Real Mean Bottle cover is as good and drivin as you say as all the songs you mentioned above. The problem with Classic Rockers releasing new material. NO RADIO VENUE for them. Its not classic rock (yet). So Bob does a couple lame Country crossovers
@LesSmith45 I agree with your comments here. I would also like to add that I felt "It's A Mystery" was pretty badass as well. Saw him in Charlotte, NC mid 90s when it first came out and it's still one of the best concerts I have ever been to.
@blackjackwally Thanks for the reply. Its a shame that todays music cannot hold up to yesterdays. Back in the 50's when rock and roll started it progressily got better through the 70's. The 80's was a decade of one hit wonders. Still great music. By the mid 90's it had started to go down hill. Now today music is just shit PERIOD. I think some of these classic rockers are doing great new music but no venue for them to have it heard. what a shame
@musicianforjesus to finish my thought. Country crossovers so he can get some radio airtime. If this album was released in the late 70's early 80's it would have been huge. Nowdays the youth have no clue what great music is. They are pounded by crap rap/hip hop shit and or Lady Gaga/Justin Beiber shit. I know i hear they are good. Tell me that in 20 yrs if they are still even in the industry. They wont need to be because they will be Gagillionairs by then. No venue for classic rockers new music
oh yeah, we had this rockin' doing 110 in the Eclipse boogeyin' down Old Route 66 and rippin' across the Cali desert.....love the gospel singers at the end!
