Shortfield landing technique.. Normal and within tolerances of the aircraft.. Firm touchdown and get the main wheels planted so that max breaking is available... Only 2000 feet of runway left when pane comes to a stop..

You usally see things labeled as hard landings on youtube, but then the video seems perfectly normal. I fly a lot for work including on some larger planes like the A321, 767, and one time an A340, and ive NEVER heard anyting like this. This to me ALMOST sounds like a tailstrike and the sound is the striker hitting the ground. Its hard to tell if he is flaring that much from this fisheye type lens on the tail camera.

OH MY GOODNESS, it's not good landing at all!! it can end of terrible accident or break some part of the air craft! it's scary, i would go to the cockpit and starting to fight the pilot and telling him go and learn more of aviation! i saw lot of smooth landing of A380, so it's not because of the big heavy planes, it depends of pilot skills.

flew the bird Paris-Johannesburg-Paris. we'll all be used soon to what it feels when a bird almost crashes. I felt that "bomb that explodes under the carriage" on the return flight, it is tremendous !!! The first fight was, however, without any turbulence, and the 386 tons landed like a feather after burning 300 tons of fuel.

Had a landing in Johannesburg (Air France A380) which was worse than this. The plane landed hard on the left side and bounced back up into the air and then slewed down hard on the right... The air stewards all looked a little shaken afterwards and technicians were looking at the main landing gear as we disembarked... After the first hit I thought it was going to turn into a crash landing it was that bad.

and this aircraft is designed to land as smooth as every other airplane. in this case size doesn't matter. Not for nothing does the A380 has a MLG consisting of 20 wheels

I think whatever language they are talking in, they are exclaiming loudly about the very hard landing. If you look... there are quite a few "A380 hard landing" videos on YouTube. Clearly this bird drops like a rock compared to the incredible A330's floating landing. Of coarse floating should not be something you should see a lot of, but for passenger comfort it is supreme...

I work for an airline, and I am a pilot myself, whenever new pilots are online, expect some hard landings as the get used to the plane. Check them in a few months, smooth like butter. Whats IMPORTANT is to get in down on the centre line and withing the landing zone on the runway. Greasers are nice but not priority and doesnt indicate a good or bad pilot

But if you see Airbus A380 first commercial landing, you can see that even the touchdown was so long, the airplane has the same hard landing as Boeing 747 hard landing with fast touchdown. Emirates is one of the best airlines you can choose! I think the cause of this hard landing was the novelty of this plane, the pilots still need to get into the habit of landing with this "monster". (The female voice in the video is mine)
