  • wow my custom cheap 8 years old pc is better than yours although i only have 256mb ram and 32gb of harddrive

  • @multi2010camaro my computer is a acer and it has 2gb of ram 256gb of memory so fuck you

  • My sister had a eMachines D3107 and it had a Seagate Baracuda 100GB and had the same problems from a very bad virus and it jut failed...

    no computer could see it.

  • I've got a 1.80GHz one X_X (eMachines 180)

  • yea the power supply on emachines are shit thats why i would recommend to buy a new one when you get the pc

  • it actually wasnt a hardware issue, it was something with xp

  • Here is the problem: Its a eMachine.lol

  • well i found the real problem, it wasnt anything hardware issue, i just "System Restored" it back to January 7th 2008 :P now it works

  • i wwana clear somthing up gateway own eachine there great pc i have 3 there great you can get a pc with the same specs as oher one for half the cost

  • they are good for your money, turns out my computer out beats the new computers at school, mine runs so much faster, runs faster than the other computers in my house, and the processor is slower speed than all of them! AMD 64 Athelon

  • @ilikefriedfood

Gateway, Acer, And eMachines are the same thing..

  • i have the same computer..after a year and some months the motherboard went.I got it repalce with my warntry 280 bucks all together..

  • Is this HDD louder than normally or does it make unusual noises?

  • the HDD sounds normal, quiet, but near the end, i hear it making quite a few processes, but arent too great to make lots of noise

  • maybe a virus? try to boot from a Live CD (e.g. Linux) and try to back up your data!

  • i found the problem, after talking with live tech, it is the power supply about to blow :( but instead of the $54 on the manufactures site, i got one for $19 :)

  • woderful... solved! xD

  • Yea its defiantly a PSU problem. But you say you bought a new power supply for 19 bucks? Lets us know when that one craps out on you as well. A good reliable PSU will run you around 60 - 150 bucks.

  • actually, it wasnt a PSU problem, it was something with xp. so i just did a system restore and it was fixed

  • And just to follow up with that cheap power supply, it is working fine, has had no problems at all ever. the original PSU is working fine too, both are perfect

  • Maybe it's overheated, try to have a good airflow, you can try to pull out your Video Card and leave the computer open for a minute and then put it back in

  • video card is integrated, and it cant be overheated if i just turned it on this morning
