@JollSSteR you must have a wire that allows electrons to flow.. and that contain electrodes or enzymes that the electrons can flow in. metals such as iron, broze, and copper are good conducters and don't have resitance to flow. on the tips of the wire or claws youll need to connect to the negative and positive ends on the battiery. the claws made out of steal is the best solution as the enzymes in it can activate the the atoms or molecules in the negative side of the battery..
@JollSSteR you can also produce electricity in other way's. you can use sunlight to activate the electrons, using tri odide and create a current. youll need to apply a base at the bottom of the conducter or in the cell usaually carbon and nitrogen fibers. this would be the positive side of the battery. magnitism is another solution as well. but it involves not making a wire in contact with the magnets but rather expose the conducter to the magnetic field prodcuced by the magnets.
@JollSSteR even though i would not recomend you doing this but you can produce electricity by a radioactive element. infact if you have a watch that glows chances are you are wearing a radioactive material. the way this works involvels gathering a material that is radioactilvly decaying and is realeasing electrons do to its lack of strength. and use thoes free electrons to produce electricity. don''t worry if you do wear what is called a raidum watch you won't get radition poisining.
@JollSSteR i mentioned other methods on how you can produce electricity from sunlight, or magnitisim.now if you want to have electricity for an entire town now thats a whole differnt set of cards. to do that you'll need to understand the basics of electromagnetic induction and the motor princple. if you want to learn more on electricity feel free to watch my favs and science playlist on my channel.i can also teach you more on electricity and also magnitism and quantum mechanics
also, its not the voltage that kills you, its the current. 120V is not deadly if the current is sufficiently small. you can be shocked with hundreds of thousands of volts, as long as the current is small. (look up van de graaff machine)
@nhr13 in case you are wondering what a photon is. it is a wave particle of electromagnetic radiation. but if it is simpler to think of light and heat just as forms of energy that's still acceptable as well
@nhr13 right it pretty much is the measure of how much of the energy that the electrons have can be used to do work such as lighting a bulb, heating up things ,or music. they also forgot the ohm. which is the measure of how resistant atoms in a filament are to electric flow .when electrons collide with the atoms that are resistant to the flow the atoms will vibrate in many direction dragging there electrons in there orbits with them causing the electrons to release photons or wave particles
In a metal, the bonds between the atoms are special, they are called "metallic bonds". one of the properties of these bonds is that the electrons are free to move from one atom to another and are not "bound" to one particular atom. so you can think of the electrons as not orbiting an atom, but being shared by all the surrounding atoms.
@ian2584 well believe or not electrons are not spinning in orbits around the nucleus. it is rather impossible to know exactly were an electron actually is according to the uncertainty principle.so really an electron can be in many reigns around the nucleus. thus giving electrons great ability to escape from there atoms if the force is great enough to excite' an electron to overcome there energy levels
If you were gonna make fun of that... you might as well make fun of the voiceover and the overall video quality. It does the job... wtf you wanna nitpick for
volts and Hz have no relation to eachother. Hz (Hertz) is the ammount of times the polarities are being reversed per second in an AC circut. North America uses 60 but most of the rest of the world uses 50.
on a magnet, does the south attract south?? no, they are opposite, they repel. just like a battery, electrons are negative and they repel from the negative end and attract to the positive end.
yeah but in an AC supply the electrons don't move from one end to the other they vibrate....
but i guess if you are talking about a battery (flat DC) then yeah they go from one end to the other.
'on a magnet, does the south attract south?? no'
well the south pole of the earth is really a north magnetic pole... so i guess you could say that the south end of a magnet is attracted to the south pole. heheheh
i know what your talking about (north pole is actually the south end of earth's magnetic field) but the north side of the compass points to it. so that makes opposite attract.
Actually it's not a simple question. What do the electrons do in the reality? Who knows? No one knows. We just make models. To analyse a circuit, the model 'electrons flow' it's a very good one, but let's say if you want to explain how the tunel diode works, you have to invoke the quantum mechanics, etc.
The electrons, so as the ions do move. Look it up.
i actually have made a vandegraph and its real simple inside a silk beld turns and inside the big metal ball is a metal com which is only about 10 mm above the silk band you have a wire going from the comb to the bowl and as the the belt spins it steal the elctrons from the silk belt evrthing in the rig must be made of wood or plastic if u try making one and neeed help ill be galde to help
@espido So what are Watts? Because my sister has a 1million volt taser...she tased me with it to be funny and clearly i'm not dead (Wow it hurt though) So isn't it the watts that kill you not the volts? Cus you said that the wall outlet is 120 volts so it is very dangerous, then why does a 1million volt current not kill?
Now, thats well explained !

But you can not get killed in any way what ever you do to the flashlamp sircuit?

But i know why - go to +. thats because + is "pulling" - to them because its like a magnet,

I have a question?
Electron is spinning around the nucleus of an atom at almost the speed of light,
so how thus it manage to flow from one atom to another to produce an electron flow or electricity?
If anyone knows were I could search for the details just send me a message, Thanks!

I think it's just for the youngest.
Teachers explain electricity in 9th grade(in EU). But I can't understand 1 thing.
Why there are 2 standards?
For example I have 230V and 60Hz in home.
Is this a big difference in using machines?

volts and Hz have no relation to eachother. Hz (Hertz) is the ammount of times the polarities are being reversed per second in an AC circut. North America uses 60 but most of the rest of the world uses 50.
Voltage is a measurment of electrical pressure.

electricity is now proven to flow from - to +. All the circuts in this video are DC so that law applies.
cuco977 2 years ago
yes but by convention it flows from positive to negative

i have proven that electricity flows from + to -

this video is essentially wrong... electrons don't flow through a conducter... they vibrate but don't move
