If u analyze and compare the pics of other actress in their 90s and 2000s  u would see the difference you've mentioned above. In 2000s highlighting the jawline nd cheekbone is a fashion and considered as one of the beautiful characters of a woman, but in the 90s it was different. So in this decade they highlight women's jawline and cheekbone with makeup and photoshop. It's a trend now
