Chinese calligraphy is also called the Heart Painting or mind images ( 字如心畫 ) which has very deep spiritual and philosophical meanings. In order to project the images from within our mind more artistically, its best to practice Chinese calligraphy in a more quiet environment. In Asian countries, many teachers would not allow their students to talk or move too much while practicing brush calligraphy.

Since this demo was in the airport cafeteria, my assistant and I had no control for the public. Though we did explain Silence is golden and 字如心畫 and had signs showing Please be silent, people came and walked by and usually did not pay attention and there were chefs and guests chatting nearby
