@Beatlesbec Tanger at first expressed its intention to rebuild the mall, but soon decided to sell the site, saying that too few tenants were interested in reopening their stores. The company sold the property for $723,500 in December 2000, taking a loss of more than $1 million.
That facility is still in use, just not in its original capacity. The flat surface and absent light poles make it a good location for autoXes! There will be one there this Sunday, March 1st.
my grandma lives there and a few years ago i stayed in the best western hotel by there. and i went to a tanger outlet mall in northern iowa a few weeks ago. i love that little town.
Tanger said in the Daily Oklahoman the day after the storm that it WOULD rebuild, its now the biggest parking lot in Lincoln County. Go & visit its worth the trip! It has been said that a young Kevin Bookout would steal dinner plates from Mikasa and throw them all the way to the Levi's store at the other end of the mall.

I still drive by there all the time. Its right off the highway in stroud. Just a big concrete pad now
