  • @funkyflights are u crazy? u just compared mlb 2k2 to mvp (2005) not mvp 2002, and if u read rite at this time mlb 2k was better, looked better and played better. Also man if u prefer EA its ok to just like i prefer 2k but it dont make anyone of us crazy but answer this where the hell is mvp series? The same place as their nba series, dead. Madden would be dead too but EA too rich and got those rights that expire 1/2013.

  • This World Series is based on the 2000 season since it's New York vs. New York. I don't remember who won in 2002.

  • @Simpsons01111 That would be Anaheim in 7 against San Fran. The Angels and that stupid Rally Monkey is an image I will never forget.

  • aw man 2k had better graphics back then XD

  • Timo Perez! Steps in.

  • finally found the original MLB 2K series when it was 100 times better than EA Sports baseball

  • @TyFly312

Are you crazy man! MVP baseball 2005 for the original Xbox is the best baseball game EVER!! I like these older 2k games BUT still not even close to being as good as MVP 2005...

  • Just bought this game for a $1

  • still got my dreamcast

  • Love this version. way easier to play than the 2k1 version.

  • @YouWantMeYouCantPay Sucks, I have 2k1, need to get 2k2

  • aaaahhhaaa Chuck Knoblauch on steroids....whoda thunk it?

  • they should make a new dreamcast

  • This is from Visual Concepts...seems to me that this is OVER 9000x(i know old meme) better than 2K9 annd this from 2001!

  • Could you play online?!?!

  • @habbz11 retard, it was 2002. Online gaming only came around in like 2003

  • @miketheman207 NFL 2K1 on the dreamcast had online capabilities, look it up.....Who's the fucking retard now Mr. Knowitall

  • @habbz11 LOL take that.

  • @miketheman207 wrong. the dreamcast had seganet. you could hook this up to your phone line and if you had the subscription to the service you could play this with other people.

  • A played a lot this game, really nice graphics, many ps2 or xbox games in that time can suck it to wsb2k2 is a very great game

  • wow great graphics for 2002!

  • wait so sega sports owned 2k back then do they still

  • @goofball5599 Sega sold Sega Sports to Visual Concepts in 2005 for like $25 mil

  • i love how it says clemens is throwing 89-90mph but it comes in so freaking slow lol

  • I still have this game.. It still holds up well graphically and gameplay wise even now.

  • Ken Griffey baseball for N64 is still the best sports game ever made period.

  • @ahtartersauce101

    Psshh, sheee-it.

  • @ahtartersauce101 Fuck yeah. Glad im not the only one that realizes this

  • @ahtartersauce101

You have to be smoking crack dude. MVP baseball for the PS2 is, and NBA 2k series for the dreamcast are the best sports game ever made.

  • Anyone else think that FMV intros for sports games were nothing more than a waste of time and disc space?

  • @Forzaabruzzo yes, yes I do. I actually feel like the elaborate menus in modern sports games (ahem Madden) are equally as useless. Give me an NES blue background and simple white OCR font any day

  • The last time I played a full season on this game, I went 151-11 and swept the playoffs.

  • go new york ! haha

  • did not like this game

  • This game has less flaws than 2k9 the show

  • man one of the several best sports games along with MVP baseball 2005 , NFL 2K1 , All star baseball 2003 ( the best ) , Nascar chase for the cup 2005 , Madden 2004 , NCAA football 2003 & 2006 , MLB the show 10 , MLB 2K6 , NBA 2K6 , NBA 2K , and Ken Griffey jr. baseball .

  • the dreamcast had some pretty awesome graphics for its time

ps1 games look like ass compared to this

  • Dreamcast is still one of my top 3 favorite systems of all time

  • I have that game

  • Really liked this game but it got so easy to score in. THen after you score a lot the computer has the nerve to pull a cheap come back. Smooth graphics though. Ah I wanted to see the Jeter at bat.

  • Dreamcast FTW, still play it every single day, keep the Dreamcast Alive ! It's STILL thinking...

  • Yeah if the red, yellow, white wire hadn't crapped out on me I'd still be playing it.

  • get a VGA Box! amazing graphics :)

  • @kevinvandorst

it would be cool if sega still offered the internet or online games, huh?

  • @kevinvandorst hell yeah!2k sports games rock!

  • i just burn this game

  • i looks great!!

im gonna have to download it !! now

  • aww man i miss all of those players

  • badass graphics!

  • the dreamcast could handle more than 3 million polygons per second. 16.77 million colors. 32-bit Yamaha Super Intelligent Sound Processor (as powerful as the current next gen systems) 26 MB RAM.

Also supported Direct X and had Windows CE as its OS. They did this back in 1998. Imagine what they would be doing now if they didn't give up and quit. We would be playing games that look better than real life. Long live Dreamcast.

  • Well if they made a new system that is.

  • super good graphics

  • IT'S NEW YORK..... VERSUS NEW YORK!

  • lmfao i no

  • ahh shit haha i have this game but its too scratched to play

  • can i go snowboarding wit u

  • only if i can meet you at wrigley field

  • If I can afford to pay for gas every 15 miles for my Escalade, and drive from north eastern wisconsin, then sure!

  • hey i live in upper michigan! ill meet you in my old 1900 toyota camry

  • My cottage is in Detroit and I just got a 68 Stingray! Let's Race!

  • And Toyota wasnt invented till 48 or something lol. I think maybe youre thinking 1990. And you're probably "always a tiger" Well guess what, I'll go get my Orange Tabby cat and roar the shit outtta you lol

  • ok its goin down.... i love the cubs not the tigers and im going to demolish u in a race by riding on a damn horse

  • lol

  • oh man... 0:34

  • haha

    New York playing............New York

  • wow this game had hrd even back then but a very terrible year in the usa

  • lmao the commentator sound like hes asking questions at the begining

  • I like that you got to choose where you wanted to swing with the joystick. I miss that swing system. Nowadays you only control the direction of your swing.

  • yea your right, atleast the MLB The Show series still kinda kept it.

  • This game had a rubber-band effect that would drive me crazy. It seemed the computer would always keep the game within 3 runs...no matter what. I'd score 8, they'd score 5. I'd score 10, they'd score 7, I'd score 15, they'd score 12. It was hell on my pitching.

  • I thought the same exact thing... It was such BS, no matter what you threw they were hitting HR's.. I'm not the only one.

  • I would have to say baseball video games really started to look great when the PS1 Came out. Although lets not forget RBI Baseball who had to have had Marge Schott as a creative consultant becuase how long before that game had any black players jesus.

  • 2001 a very sad year for new york

  • wow for 2002 the graphics arent that bad

  • 2001 ^__^

  • a very sad year

  • oh even better. ah my grandpa has all star baseball 2000. a very sad game haha

  • OMG! what the.... just look at those graphics

  • damn play by play sucks lol whos this guy?

  • lol roid-rage on the mound.

  • i remember hitting 80 hr in one season w/ bernie williams lol

  • Lol you can hit like 600ft bombs too lmao

  • I miss the Dreamcast

  • go out and buy one man! it lives on!

  • ukraineintherain is totally right it's been around for 10 years and it's easily my favorite system and its got so many good games, and games still come out for it in japan every so often, that's how much love it. they're not so expensive and alot of the greater games are cheap, but awesome titles like power stone and cannon spike can be expensive.

  • wat happened 2 2k baseball?

  • its the only baseball game they make for the x box 360

  • sucks 4 u i hav a ps3 and the show

  • I know. But 360 has its advantages.

  • totally halo gears of war thats y im getting a 360

  • yeah and better online.

  • Has anyone else noticed on Youtube that no matter WHAT the video is about the limey's can't help themselves. They blast their diarrhea in the comment section and turn everything into "I HATE AMERICA" crap. Your entire country is nothing but cantankerous, lonely youtube trolls, samnrob1.

  • world series? no one accept america and like more countrys place this shit.

it's basically english rounders but obviously another english sport like soccer [FOOTBALL] changed into american shit.

  • It is spelled except not accept.

  • Europe is a joke. GO AMERICA.

  • lol does that ad in the background say "fudge taco"?

  • MLB 2k for dreamcast was the shiiiit. Dude, I was jackin shit w/ Piazza, ventura , and alfonzo. Pedro was on the cover that year.

  • God those graphics are Fantastic

  • wow i know and its better than last few years of 2k sports

  • Robin Ventura swung at 3:56!

  • "it's new york......versus.....new york"

  • good graphics O_O

  • lol, i miss my dreamcast =/

  • The Dreamcast was way, way ahead of its time.

  • just like george lucas

  • @malignantpoodle no...wait..like this and out loud: WAYYYYY FUCKING AHEAD OF IT'S TIME....period

  • i love Dreamcast im ganna get one

  • it says "Dreamcast" up top

  • i like the intro

  • Single commentary also sucks... it needs another announcer.

  • nice to know that sega are red sox fans (with red sox taking up pretty much the whole intro and cover and title screen.

  • jesus christ that loading time

  • I turn to another channel while it loads

  • id hate to have this game:(

  • I would say 2k2 has better graphics than mvp 04 lol.

  • 2k1 was much better, they changed everything in 2k2 and i dont rtemember much but i think i didnt lik eit as much as 2k1

  • 2k1 was an updated version of that arcade bball game i used to play at nathan's arcade room which was amazing. the most underrated game period!!!

  • that was a fastball i thought it was a circle-change.

  • 89 MPH Fastball that takes 1.5 seconds to get to the plate?

  • lol

  • graphics arent so bad

  • 2k2 sucks!

  • That dude freaks me out

  • ues

  • Good fucking game I had it and questioned why Pedro was on the cover? I'd like to see Al Leiter on the cover he was a good pitcher, or maybe Randy Johnson.

  • Man this brings back some memories. I miss the dreamcast....

  • BEST Baseball game EVER

  • I haven't played this in so long! Thanks!

  • do they make it for ps2

  • The greatest baseball game of all time, and on what other system than the greatest fo all time.

  • Why does Ted Robinson (the play-by-play guy) sound like he's reading a children's book to some five-year olds.

  • Wow, can you say OLD SCHOOL!? This was my very favorite game on my very favorite system until my Dreamcast sadly died out on me a couple years later :(

GOTTA love those old graphics! Thanks for this!

  • If only people were'nt saving up for a sony

    PS2...

Could you imagine it? Sony going out of business and SEGA taking their place...?

  • it's only my opinion relax

  • The dreamcast was way ahead of its time

  • to answer the earlier poster, Pedro is on the cover. Not the greatest of baseball games, but I made do with it on my DC and had a decent time.

  • The pitching is so sllllllooooooooooow

  • Whoes on the cover?

  • this game looks very dificult

  • it was

  • i think mattcrash69 is mad that he doesn't have a next gen console

  • dreamcast hat eine sehr gute grafik

  • dreamcast hat eine sehr gute grafik

  • Those graphics are sweet for dreamcast!

  • is everyone so dumb now adays..i mean can't you see that all games are now is this but more shiny with more lighting and thats it really..Next gen isn't that next gen yet.

  • Are you that upset that you don't have one that you have to critize them?

  • Thanks for sharing. My first ever baseball game but it did have a lot of flaws. Anything above 'easy' level and the catch-up logic for the CPU was absolutely insane. There doesn't seem to be any velocity in any of the pitches, as they all initially look like off-speed pitches. Finally, you got to love the animation of the out-fielders during a pop-up or a fly-ball, they just stand there like the statue of liberty as they wait for the ball to come back down.

  • looks miserable

  • Lemme guess: Typical standart ps3 gamer

  • button functions SUCKED for this game

  • the mariners where the best in this game i practecly ownly used them and there my state team i live in wA
