last bit was wrong (as stated below) it goes the other way round so that when you put the sling/rifle on you then use your right arm to adjust it to fit. you adjust by pulling the strap away from you
@nitrogas85 Not an M14, not even an M4, this is a Diemaco L119A1 as used by British Special Forces (Pathfinders, SAS, SBS, SFSG etc). It does look like an M4 but there are a lot of Subtle differences. Diemaco have a website, check it out.
The last bit is defiently wrong, I'm in the British Army and I can tell for 100% that is wrong. It goes the other way round so as (as said below) you alter how tight/loose the weapon is without having to take the rifle off.

Thats not the Sa80 Rifle, that is M14 Rifle used by usa, and the Sa80 sling is more durable than that thin sling looks like plastic lining strap!

lol, thats wrong, the last bit goes the other way round, so you have the loose bit hanging down at the end, so you can adjust it while its on.
