I hate how Messi fans criticize CR. he dives or lacks intelligence or he's a ball hog. the diving part. that's all true. he hasn't scored many free kicks this season but then, when has Messi scored plenty free kicks? To hit a still ball, you need calmness and focus. His skills/abilities to shoot from distances takes brains. Messi has missed more penalties, what does that say? Both players are exceptional I've always prefered Ronaldo just because of the journey he's been through and how much skill he possesses individually but you can't be dumb enough to say either are bad. Look at the difference in the video. Ronaldo scores some nice goals, but most of the time it is tap - ins and standing still doing step overs without getting past. Look at Messi's goals. He beats 3-4 apponents so many times, he doesn't do skills because it looks nice, he does it for a porpose. He is also a much better playmaker.

Look at the difference in the video. Ronaldo scores some nice goals, but most of the time it is tap - ins and standing still doing step overs without getting past. Look at Messi's goals. He beats 3-4 apponents so many times, he doesn't do skills because it looks nice, he does it for a porpose. He is also a much better playmaker.
I am not taking anything away from Ronaldos amazing talent, just saying that he is not quite the player Messi is!
