Yeah my 85' 2.5l has developed a knock. I was stuck in Atlanta, GA and live in McDonough, GA. (about 35mi) I made it back knocking all the way at 70+mph. W/ a 4spd. And guess what it's still running.
@MRSKYLINER32 Oh and before you start bashing me for running it so hard. I planned to get a new motor and a 5spd beforehand. The knock just pushed up the plans.
@SUSPECT29 That sucks man, I would drop a 350 in it. I just sold my s-10 and got a 93 silverado with a vette LT1 in it. suits my needs (: check out my vids of it

:) Yeah, it keeps going. My Cavy on the other hand is finally giving out. With over 10,000 miles already put on it, not much work done to it. I believe it got the $350 worth from it. Now I can see how miles, owners and past maintenance to the vehicle can make a big difference.

Im not suprised the s10 lasted if its an older version. personal opinion is the older ones are put together better. if its newer one, then im shocked

@mattg245 It was most definitely a rod knock I pulled the oil pan and there was chunks of metal every wear
