Roll a sheet of clay. Cut it into strips. Lay the strips and make sure to cut off over laps. Easiest way I know and also when you do the ball technique you make balls of different shapes and them you also have to take the time to even out the surface and in some spot you had an uneven surface and then god forbid you get an air bubble in there and your whole mask will be ruined.

how many hours did you spend doing that dot thing, because it looks like i complete waste of time when you could just make and even layer which is not that hard at all

@MadnessToMyEars it didnt take as longs as u would think. i would say less than an hour. the reason i do it that way is because that's how i've seen it done. also i find when i try to take a chunk of clay n just smack it on the whole sculpture comes out with varying thicknesses. plus the dots just makes it easier for me
