Raccoons are charming, very intelligent animals, comical and yes sweet. I have seen countless raccoons in my backyard, they never bother anyone, often they sit and watch us, in the yard, they know which peolple are safe and those that intend harm towards them. There is absolutely no need to shoot them, what fun is there is killing anything, unless one absolutely needs to survive for food. Raccoons are smart and curious, enjoy watching them and respect them, they will respect you.

skatexxxmatt1408, perhaps you don't live a rural life so you're not used to the culture of the area that Mr. Chase lives in. But hunting and trapping in the South is as natural occurrence as snow in the North. The trap he is using is a Live Trap and the danger of him being injured is minimal. Nothing like the line of long leaf traps I was using to run a trap line when I was his age. It does my heart good to see this young man taking advantages of his location and culture.

Theyoungtrapper- wierd but I just went out (first time coon trapping) and didn't know what to put in there so I randomly used, dog food peanut butter and honey! So wierd! I gues it's in my blood, and now I feel more confident thanks!

this isnt the samwhen you set it the trap was the other way arounde set.. and a tip if the marshmellows stop working use peanut butter, dog food, and hunny. coons love the peanut butter and the sweet honey
