Votes were miscounted and recounted and the election was ultimately taken to the highest court in the land. Al Gore eventually conceded victory to Bush. The people did not vote him into office. Ehhh.. not quite. While the media's portrayal of him certainly hasn't helped his cause, if you watch videos of him such as the presidential debate from 2004, then compare them with his governor debates back in the mid-90s, you can see a stark difference in his way of speaking.

There have been studies showing that Bush's ability to convey his thoughts and speak well has seriously dwindled over the years. He used to be far more articulate and generally gave good responses. These days, if he says something even remotely intelligent, everyone is shocked.

I am assuming you are young and not from the USA. In the year 2000, the people gave more votes to AL Gore.It was the most controversial election in U.S. history. Votes were miscounted and recounted and the election was ultimately taken to the highest court in the land. Al Gore eventually conceded victory to Bush. The people did not vote him into office. He got into office on legal technicality. Do not blame the people for putting him into office. We were just as skeptical then as we are sick now
