what he didn't explain is that the words "days" is not found in Daniel 8:14 .if you read it in Greek the word " day" is not there .

I think he explained it in one of the other videos of this 5 part series. Regardless, the words used are 2300 evenings and mornings = which still equals 2300 days as we know them to be. Doesn't change the meaning.

There are a series of book by the daniel and revelation committee ,they do a good job explaining this , I would suggest you buy at least the first two " selected studies on Prophetic interpretation" and the other is called" Issues in the book of Daniel" the best scholars of the adventist church wrote those books after the Desmond Ford controversy,You can also go to the BIBLICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE they some stuff you can read for free!

true , I agree , i have written a paper on Daniel 8:14 , that is why I think he doesn't do a good job ,he misses mentioning critical points that are important to present our doctrine of the IJ, he should have other people present critical topics that he doesn't understand well , Like Dr. Angel Rodriguez , he does a great job explaining the IJ .

No offense but I think you are being WAY to critical. Doug deals with the subject matter at hand fairly well, considering this video is just 1 week of an entire quarters worth of studies on the subject of 1844 - 2300 days based on the SABBATH SCHOOL quarterly.

I believe we need to give more evidence , I think Doug does a great job But don't treat it as if its the last argument , it is a good study to start . The year day principle is key to explain this ,this is what people want to know , In paper I go to Genesis and the bible uses days /years"My Spirit will not contend with [a] man forever, for he is mortal [b] ; his days will be a hundred and twenty years."so we can see days/years used interchangeably and it is in the contex of judgement .

Who is treating this as if its the last argument? All the information is there in the Bible and through many good resources. These 5 youtube videos are just to wet the whistle and explain things in laymans terms for the average user. By all means dive into the word and dig deeper as everyone should.

yes, I took classes with Pastor Bhor at Afcoe , he is really good on explaining things .I have done some studies on the year/ day principle , it feels good to know that it is biblical and that this principle help us to really understand the prophecies , we should be thankful to MIller and the others reformers who came before him . No doubt we are a movement of destiny , established by God !

You are right about Doug doing a good job of this. There is no reason for SDAs to bend over backwards to please those who don't want to accept the truth. The day/year principle doesn't need any other explanation outside that of Dan 9 being an explanation of Dan 8.

Everyone knows that the 70 "sevens" of Dan 9:24 are YEARS. So that's where the day/year principle comes from. The calculations of the 2,300 days starts from there.

Those who still demand more evidence are in denial!
