Steely Dan's Aja was a gem and so is this fine and awesome album. We are blessed to have Donald's musical talent. Trust me. It was worth the money buying these two LPs.
Much love to Fagen and Becker and the rest of the Steely Dan crew! Shortly after checking out Fagen's wonderful "Morph the Cat", I happened upon Walter Becker's "Circus Money", and I must say that my life hasn't been the same since. "Circus Money" is sonically slamming and has a tight and fat groove to it. Becker's guitar, and bass playing (!) is consistent, musical, and solid as a rock! The sonics of any later solo and SD album would sell many pairs of speakers.
I've listened to just about everything Steely Dan has ever done...including a bunch of studio edits, yet i have never really delved onto their solo projects. I will make that a 2011 venture !
