  • love how he can't even play is own shit :P

  • I love the ending where he has to loosen the string to get it low enough. XD

  • He plays very emotional, love it! And have a look at his eyes, e.g. in 2:16 - amazing eyes... O.O

  • To everyone wondering what he's wearing: It's the "home" kit of Leyton Orient FC. This music was written as a result of Julian winning a bet over the result of one of their games in the 1970's, so it's completely appropriate :)

  • He should do a duet with Ryan Delahoussaye!!!

  • I love how he's all Casual Friday about it!!

  • I think I don't really mind what he wears:D

Perhaps that's why he's so unique and special When he's on the stage.

My teacher once said that cello is one of the most beautiful instruments, now I am agree!!

  • This is the most incredible cello performance I've ever enjoyed. BRAVO!!!!!!!! BRAVO!!!!

  • unbelievable, poor guy! Such much preasure. I am from Sweden and I know that one of my country men work with Andrew, For Cats etc.. Bjorn. But Really who cares check out this!

  • unbelievable

  • Brilliant, who cares what he is wearing? He can play the cello, unbelievable, and then some.

  • Viadisse sem sentido.

  • I'm sorry....BUT WHAT IS HE WEARING AT A CONCERT EVENT?

  • @alexandertom05 it was a bet bwetween him and his brother and he lost!

  • nelliebell49 Julian was great and wow I love the cello! He played beautifully!

  • BELISSIMO

  • Is it just me or is there something deeply sensual and attractive about a passionate string player as he performs?

  • what team is the jersey that he's wearing??

  • Brilliant

  • BRAVO!!!

  • PERFECTA

  • i love this music and we have being playing this at school! I want the notes for the varation 1

  • I love the pieces that he is playing and he is sooo amazing. I never knew that Andrew had a brother this talented and everything. As much as I love the music, the dancers are little much and kind of goofy. I don't know why they thought they had to add them. The music was great with just Julian playing.

  • He doesn't just play it...he arranges the music he plays too...seriously he is as much a part of composing Variations as his brother

  • Really? I had no idea that he was that involved with everything. Admittedly, I do not know much about Julian...or Andrew for that matter, only the fact that both of their music is amazing. Thanks for the info on Julian!

  • @kittykatkafe yea Ive always liked this piece myself........jacqueline du pre was another cellist i favor.....oh and yoyoma.

  • @kittykatkafe "Goofy" pretty much sums up the choreography, in this particular context anyway.

  • Absolutely fantastic. I am not a great lloyd webber fan but appreciate good music. This is fantastic. I wonder whose looks the lloyd webber brothers took after?

  • Their father, and I don't envy them xD

Like you I am not remotely a fan of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musicals (or musicals in general), but I really admire him. Andrew is indubitably a genius, and an inspiration!

I am, on the other hand, a MASSIVE fan of Julian and have been for a few years now :-) I really want to see him live!

  • I've always thought Julian looks pretty horny! I reckon he could sort a girl out!

  • Andrew is clever. He is a smart composer. The reason why you love this and not the musicals is Julians input. He is not afraid to take on what is written on his own terms...no matter who wrote it or how many times it has been performed before
