Don't give up, Dennis. Just the fact that you've come this far is showing that these are issues you are highly committed to. I think as soon as this whole Iraq thing became a billion dollar hassle and people realized we wouldn't be getting out anytime soon that it had become a war for yet another imperialist settlement. Like you say, it's one thing to defend your own country... It's another to throw yourself into a war with another country when half your country is completely against the tactic.

Right on, Dennis. Being a pacifist doesn't mean being weak. Your response was in keeping with the martial arts philosophy that your greatest tactical strength is in remaining defensive.
I think of it this way. Does homeowner go out looking for thieves if he wants to protect his property, or does he stay at home and lock the door? This " we fight them there so we don't fight them here " approach is ridiculous.

Kucinich must be reading my mind since he says what I think! LOL. The point about knowing the difference between offense and defense is the core issue of what is wrong with the Republican and Democratic war mongering. Guliani is the worst of the Republicans on this point mimicing Bush saying we have to attack "them" before they attack "us". Of course that means always being offensive in the worst sense of the word.

I greatly admire your willingness to speak truth to power, to stand up and be counted.
It's hard to hopeful though about political solutions to our broken political system. The corrupt Tammany machine owns us, and I have lost hope that we have anything but martial law, and death to look forward for this country.

Dennis, you really got to get out in the open your 2002 report on pre-war intelligence. that 8 page report showed there was no reason to invade Iraq before we went in. It was based on the same intelligence Clinton and Edwards had. you actually analyzed the info, they just played politics. That pre-war analysis is important for you to win!

I agree with your position on many issues. But this is the one. <i> This is your issue.</i> If you can make this point clear - that you voted to invade Afghanistan but saw thru the deception of the "intelligence" for the war in Iraq -<b> this is how you can win</b>.
