@bobchappell1965 You won't be able to find it anywhere... it's from a local band from my hometown... Try google BGF (or Best Go Fight), but I doubt it...
There is a kit to add with this steady cam, my system is a canon hfs21 with external mic and hod weighing over 1000g i called them for advice and they said i needed the extra weight kit ......it two weights.
@CinematicD Not great. After reading a forum post about some guy making it work I tried it out, but even just the camera is more weight than the MMC is designed to take, and then add a lens onto that. Basically it is possible, you'd just have to add a ton of weight to the bottom, the question is can that little ball joint take it, and do you want to take that risk with your 7D? For me, no. Gonna make myself a FigRig instead...
i recently got a kodak playsport (actually just came out today) and it weights about 150grams, so wayy to light for a steadycam.
I found the hague steadycam online and searched on youtube and found this video. out of curiosity, what kind of weights did you add on the top of your steadycam to balance it out, and how much weight did you add.
@imanooblar Hi. I added about 200grams to the top of the stabilizer, and then balanced out the bottom according. It looks like your version has stabilization, would be interesting to see how that works. For my money I'd actually rather recommend getting something like a figrig (google it), or even making something similar. A stabilizer isn't the greatest for skating honestly. But if you're doing more regular video work it could be quiet good.
even with a camera that has good stabilizing optimizing, a steadycam is adviced...wobble is going to happen when you start running or walking fast. so a steadycam is a must in my eyes.
As for the camera... If you're just going to handhold it I'd suggest against it. What I do is a attach it to my monopod, then skate with it holding that; the extra weight and grip means that it moves around MUCH less. Check out my latest videos to see my 'on board' footage to see what sort of results you can get...
They're called Autonative (well, that song is from their old band called Best go Fight), just google or youtube them and check out their live videos! THey're sick!
Unfortunately you won't as it was recorded in about 2001. Only their 2007/8 stuff is on the web. If you ask real nice I could always email it to you ;)
nice camera..and wow 300$.. If i had that much, i wouldve bought myself a new board, maybe a dervish. but thats just me, cause i just have one board, and u probably have more than that. :p again, very nice "stabilizer". :p
Unfortunately as I live in South Africa, a dervish costs about $550 dollars to import.. and I have 3 original boards :P But would like to try a loaded one day; probably a dancer or ceviche.
He were's the hat because he's going bald and he realized that he looks like an idiot where a beanie. The wrist bands are wore as penance for his sins... way to go insult a man's religion...
lol why would he look like an idiot w/ a beanie? its less dorky than the hat. dont get me wrong, its a cool hat normally, but wearing that while longboarding is pretty lame.
as for the wrist bands, i didnt know they were for religious purposes so i have no regrets of what i said.
Relax man :) Was just yanking your chain about the religious stuff :P He got them from his gf, so he wears them all the time... so yeah... lame :P haha...
Would you send me that live recording via email?

I see. Actual mechanical shutters or "soft" virtual shutters suffer the same.
Thanks.

What do you call "vertical disrotioin"? Keystoning? And what has it got to do with a steadicam?
I missed something?
rouelibre1 1 year ago
@rouelibre1 Distortion. I'm talking about the 'jello effect' of CMOS sensors...
RossCharnock 1 year ago
@RossCharnock Oh! I see. I had always believed that "jello" was caused by DSLR vertical type shutters...
rouelibre1 1 year ago
@rouelibre1 Nope, all CMOS sensor use a vertical top to bottom scan and so are affected. Tis a b1tch...

Hi, congratulations for your cool vidéos !
i found your channel while i was searching for Zi (series) + B-Hague MMC to find how to balance the camera.
I own a zi8 and i bought the weight adaptor but i find it tricky to balance.
could you show how you dispatch weight and precise your settings.
thank you very much by advance

Hey how do you think the Canon 7D might work on this? It can potentially weigh up to 900 grams.
