When has there ever been a case that you need another 360 game to play a different 360 game? That's stupid. FEAR Files is completely standalone, you don't need any other disk to play it, but you should've already played FEAR.

I got both games, except for perseus mandate.

Is it relevant to play this game, to understand the story line.. ? Or, does Perseus mandate has it's own story line ?

And, does anyone know who you'll be playing as, in F.E.A.R 2 ? As Point man, or this guy ?

Perseus Mandate sorta branched off into its own story. Extraction Point on the other hand does somewhat tie with Fear 2, but in Fear 2 you take the role of a completly different person but events that occur in Extraction Point affects some parts of Fear 2's setting.

Actually, there are two storylines.

The original makers of F.E.A.R., Monolith, only count F.E.A.R. and Project Origin in their own timeline.

The people who made the expansion packs count F.E.A.R., Extraction Point and Perseus Mandate in their alternate timeline.

But yeah, this game's got a stand-alone storyline. However, some parts would make more sense if you had played the original F.E.A.R.

I have a GeForce 6200 LE, and my computer works fine on medium for only awhile, but when i get into a place with lots of shadows and enemies, i start lagging like crazy. Especially at the part where Morrison gets the DNA, that blue place.

the graphics of F.E.A.R perseus mandate are worse than F.E.A.R and extraction point. If u dont believe look at the guns of fear ep ( and fear) and perseus mandate. You will see that the guns of fear and ep better are in the light than perseus mandate

yes this one was pretty disappointing but it was a rushed expansion pack.. the original fear is in a whole different league..and to me this is alot more realistic than DOOM..not TOTALLY realistic but more so than doom..I mean you dont fight two story monsters and zombies in F.E.A.R do you? Ive never even played doom but ive seen enough vids from youtube to know that comparing F.E.A.R to DOOM is dumb.

I liked the first DOOM, I liked the original FEAR.

But if you think that an AI that isn't plain dumb and better graphics are all that a FPS can be after 10 years or so then I think that you are really underestimating the possibilities of that genre. And as you can see if you read some of the comments here, the audience might be to blame, as well.

Don't get Project Origin and f.e.a.r 2 confused. They are both completly different games with Project Origin being the continuation of Alma's story while f.e.a.r 2 is basically a continuation of the FEAR team.

naw, they confirmed it, fear 2 = project origin.. lol just a different name because they read fan mail and they wanted to understand more, and some fan just made the idea project origin for the sequel, so thats what they did

... that is not what they did at all. Vivendi and Monolith split up after Warner Brothers bought Monolith, they didn't need Vivendi.

Since Vivendi owned the name FEAR, they needed a new one so they had a contest to determine it.

The new storyline does not star the pointman but someone new, same world though, and the storyline does not recognize extraction point or perseus mandate, which were created by Vivendi with TimeGate as the developers (not Monolith).
