I'm Vietnamese and I do love Cambodia as well, there are many Cambodian in VN too, but we dont treat them as bad as Cambodia treat their own people. Many south Vietnamese are basically the same peoples, who became Vietnamese when Champa was taken over. Just a few hundred years ago, Cambodians must haved looked at Vietnamese and Thai and think "savages", when Khmers had the greatest army and infrastructures in all of mainland SE Asia. Now, it's mostly rural villagers.

In the late 70s, China took order from the US to mess up Vietnam and Cambodia so the US special army units can come in and search for missing soldiers in Vietnam war, in exchange the US gave China trades and technologies. My wife is Khmer Krom she lives in the Mekong Delta which is now a part of Vietnam, if you no a little bit a history, the French gave this land to keep Vietnam happy, over the years the Krom have been mistreated , persecuted. She had to go to Vietnamese school and could not go to a khmay school,they are discriminated because of there darker skin. I'm not a fan of the Vietnamese and never will be!

@savankoy Sihanouk doesn't have any education at all. when he talked with the US in Cambodia, he said he wanted all the US dollars for his pocket (every dollars the US gov't. give to Cambodia). He was once interviewed w/ the US news, and he said he wanted to be a playboy because his parents wanted him to be happy.

Blame Sihanouk. He invited Viet Minh to come to Cmabodia to fight the French and he let them stay over. Later they became Viet Cong.

I wrote the history book and I also called it "An Invasion" since 1979. Your Viet have been trying to defacing the history or make an excuse to the world by called it a rescue. The world did not buy your Viet Dirty trick, so they supported Cambodian people to kick your Viet army back to VN.
