I was playing portal 1 and 2 and I started to wonder... Why didnt Aperture since get invaded by the things black mesa caused? In portal 1 I thoght the Zombies or the other guys in second episode would be in there somewere... Is it because of Apertures epic defence system? Hmm... Or is it all over when portal came out :/

@kidlink4OoT i think Portal is many years in the future after Black Mesa, Glados uses the life support systems to keep people alive for hundreds of years and she talks of how the worlds gone to hell on the surface theres no zombies etc in Aperture science labs as its built underground and is locked down tight

@cjpowerdcfc No its not. In the portal 1 ending song GLaDOS says "When I look out there it makes me glad im not you. And in portal 2 Black mesa is mentioned alot. Plus Aperture science isnt built all underground. The lobby to Aperture Science is above ground. Because when you complete portal 1 It shows the exit of Aperture science and stuff. And in the beginin of portal 2 you can see the sky Anyway I still beleve its cause of the turrents the Combie and Zombies never invaded Aperture Science :D

@kidlink4OoT yes out there may mean after the zombies have over run the planet etc and ofc black mesa is mentioned they were Aperture Sciences biggest competitors and glados will have records of them as she is a computer and the labs are like the umbrella corporation in resident evil the facitlity will have to have an entrance above ground the question is why has nobody found apature science in all the years chell was asleep between 1 and 2? maybe theyre all dead

@kidlink4OoT black mesa and aperture are connected.that makes the two games connected. dr kleiner talks about aperture science in HL2 EPISODE 2. and he also shows a video with the borealis. u can see the borealis in portal 2 :] o! and the on the borealis ship u can see the "Aperture Science " LOGO :P

when the Combines took the world (Half Life) Caroline (GLaDOS) flooded the Aperture Facility with neru toxins that killed all scientists, which closed the Facility. Thats why the combines thru the years never found Aperture Science Technology. Thats why in half life 2 ep2, Eli tells everyone to destroy the Borealis before combines find it. This is my opinion, im just sayin
