  • I wish they would start a new series :(

  • do you have another series episodes?

  • The zoom in to the map, the zoom into the map! I remember! Ah!

  • Ah the good old days when TV was decent, Treasure hunt, Crystal Maze etc. What do we have now? Yep cheap crap like Big Brother, Deal or No deal etc.

  • Wish they would bring this back on TV used to love this show:(

  • @pulsar46 Sadly they won't bring great stuff like this back. Nowadays C4 prefers to cater for the chavs and produce cheap trash like Big brother etc.

  • Ya know, i would love to buy this on a dvd boxset, all 7 years of it. Used to love watching this when i was a little nipper

  • Miss this. Thank you for posting. Takes me back many years.

  • Keith Thompson, the pilot, said the show's producers rang him up and asked him if he could land a helicopter on the hull of a submarine. He said he could thinking the Royal Navy would never grant permission for such a stunt. But they did...

  • I used to watch this just for the helicopters.

  • What a BLAST from the past, thanks so much for posting this!

  • "Beautiful city of Plymouth"?? What's Wincey been smoking.

  • why is this not shown any more it was on sky about 15 years ago along with crystal maze and they keep repeating the maze. bring back treasure hunt .

  • Tom Tom was inspired by this episode!

  • 50.17degN. 4.6W just pass the numbers to Keith Thompson and he'll take them there.

  • well done for bothering to dig out you old tapes

  • wow i remember this this was a great program shame its gone

  • my grandad is frank. he worked behind the camera

  • I used to have a crush on Netty (Annette Lynton) who was the adjudicator before Wincy Willis. She was hot...though i was only about 12, lol

  • Takes me back.. A fantastic and fun way to find out about the Great British landscape. Anyone know where I can get DVDs of the whole series?

  • @jaymaccie I know you asked where you could get dvd of treasure hunt a year ago.

but if you still looking ioffer dot com sells copies

  • @bamptonbred look no ioffer

  • Great clip. Those were the days before TV became dumbed down. I always liked seeing other parts of the country. And those jump suits.

  • ahh, anneka rice... anyway, the lovely ms rice and helicopters aside (imagine what chartering a jet ranger cost in the 80's!!),but a camera man AND a sound engineer! And check out the battery packs!! Just think you could film this on your mobile now, and it'd be better quality!! (ok,maybe not!)

  • my dad being embarrasing at 1:23

  • My fave episode ever as it was from my home city. Think it's the only time "Castle Air" actually get a mention. They are based 20 or so miles away in Cornwall so it was all local ground for them.

  • Thursday night has snever been the same since...

  • oh i remeber this programme with fondness!

  • It's all so very civilised in the studio.

  • that mullet is a cracker! or is it a pony tail?

  • the days when tv had something decent to offer the viewer, instead of endless permutations of big brother muck.

  • Thanks fot this video, compleate with origional1980's channel 4 ident!

  • I love how they just ignore Aneka when she's in the helicopter, talking.

  • LMFAO! Common assault at 0:34!

  • Thanks so much for this !!!

When t.v was good ....or im i just getting old lol !!

  • Just been looking at old videos and what did i find, all of season 6 of treasure hunt which i had taped so next priority will be to get them transferred on to the pc so i can upload them on to here.

  • do you have season 5

  • Thank you so much for this wonderful episode of Treasure Hunt, I used to adore the show for the lovely Annika and the programme showing the grandure of the british countryside.

plus I just been in Cinderella at the Theatre Royal Plymouth!!

    so great fun

  • yeah - didn't they go to beamish? thursday nights @ 8-30!! never the same since

  • Thank you =D

  • Thanks so much for putting this video up!

  • My Father was talking (salivating?) about Anneka Rice and her jumpsuits. I had to see what the fuss was all about.

Ah-ha, now I see, a big breasted, blonde woman in a very revealing jumpsuit... ;)

  • Thanks for sharing these! Great childhood memories and probably still as good if not better than the cr@p churned out today.

  • I agree tv these days is rubbish

  • couldn't agree more

  • I am desperately trying to find an episode of Treasure Hunt that has my husband as a child on it. Only detail I have is that it was in Bolton Town centre and a teddy bears picnic. Can anyone help me ?????

  • I watched this avidly on a thursday evening on C4. Why oh WHY did they not do an episode here in Teesside? or anyhwhere in the great north east of England?

  • Actually they did do two in the North East of England. There was one in series 5 based in Northumberland, and one in series 6 based in County Durham, which included Gateshead.

  • OK thanks for that, seems I did not watch every episode!

  • Treasure Hunt was si innovating and enjoyable, way ahead of its time, best TV prog ever made, bring it back TV is crap these days!

  • Loved the programme when it was on. I was young at the time and did not have a clue as to what the puzzles meant or how they came to the answers but I just liked the places they went to and of course Anneka's bum and body shape in a tight suit was influential in a young teenagers life. SEXY ANNEKA :P

  • bring it all back tv is so rubbish now days..

  • She had a right arse.

  • Agreed, I think I liked incey Wincey Willis more though

  • thanks for the video, im 20 and remember watching it on challenge tv when they showed it.

  • i love treasure hunt and

    i am 20 years old.

i remember seeing treasure hunt for the first time when i was 9 years old back in 1995, i was watching challenge tv on cable and treasure hunt came on and i watched it and i loved it.

anneka rice is a lovely person, very funny and entertaining. i am a huge fan of the show even though it was origionaly on in the 1980's. i love the theme tune too.

  • I remember seeing the helicopter when on holiday in Somerset as a kid and being very excited! Thanks for the memories!

  • WOW !

I was only about 9 when this was on, so I didn`t really understand it`s greatness back then, but I do now.......Fantastic programme !

  • I listen to Plymouth Sound (I'm currently at Marjon in my third year) it's the local radio station (Plymouth isn't actually my home town, normally live in Windsor).

  • Which series had the tanks in the introduction

  • Wonderful... more please

  • brings back 80's memories

  • oh my god favourite programme ever, cant wait to see more

  • excellent! how many episodes have you got? I'll look forward to seeing future episodes on youtube, as I was too young being born in 1992 to see any of these episodes when they were originally broadcast. Thanks for this video.

    Matthewvp
