I just LOVE this form and I love the "driftwood" handles. I didn't think I would, but I really do. Just gorgeous. You will have more than one customer from here on youtube, Steve. :)
@janicethepotter Hi Janice hope your well. They all going to Potfest In The Pens in three weeks but I might be persuaded to accidentally leave one behind for a discerning friend LOL. seriously, I really enjoy making these so there will be a lot more made.I have just had a tentative inquiry from a gallery regarding price etc. so they seem to be well received, which is nice.
@Gracepots Hi Phil the influence comes from a Chinese pot I saw in the British museum ( you soon find out there's nothing new in ceramics, only your interpretation of it).
There's a video of the handle ideas about three videos back "pottery handle ideas and sake cup tray" I will tag a lid throwing and turning demo onto the next throwing video for you to see. as for your videos , just go for it . We're only here once!!

Hi Steve, love these pots!
I wondered what inspires you to make these pots, they look to have an Asian influence?
Also do you have any videos on throwing the lids for these.
I also enjoying making similar shaped pots at the moment.
My wife surprised me on my birthday by setting up my own website! gracepots com I hope to do some youtube videos one day if i can find the courage.
Thanks for all your videos, keep them coming.
Phil

They are really really cool. The form works really well with that handle. Can't wait to see them finished.
