Do you need to tech up to reapers or do you have them from the beginning? Cause if you can get them as soon as you have a barracks and a techlab, wouldnt it be a smart idea to attack with marines/marauders or something and go around the wall with a few reapers and pylon snipe while your opponent is occupied with the ball of death at your ramp?

@Moomoothecow2123 no you get reapers with tech lab. you only need to "tech-up" to ghosts. and unless you're amazing at micro, reapers fall apart really quick. so splitting up your army into a small base like xelnaga to just pick off pylons wont set you ahead if you end up losing 2-4 reapers.

@oniKhimaira Well what I was thinking was, you build like 5 reapers, which is probably overcomitting, then while you attack the ramp with a good amount of units like a marine/marauder ball or hellions or whatever, you run around the edge after the protoss attacks your main army, and take out the pylons supporting his gates. Though that would be under hopes of him using all his stalkers at the ramp.

I remember one match where one of them went into like a two-minute monologue about how one of the players must've been dropped as a kid, based on the stupid move he made against his enemy.

I'll concede that kind of silliness could certainly arise in a pro game as well.
