Have seen 1349 twice (w/ tony laureano ably subbing for the admittedly unique frost, but still).  They sounded better than this. This sounds mixed like a generic rock concert, big and blowsy botttom. Not cold enough, you know. Not for NBM.

I disagree. Tony L. is very very good, but frost has a unique "hard hitting" style that is PERFECT for this band.

Side note: frost is the only reason I still care about Satyricon.

1349's Bassist fucking rules! seriously, he is keeping up with that tempo without a pick. The entire band is awesome. On par with Ragnarok, Satyricon and Immortal for sure..!

I know! Siedemann is a badass and what's more, really original (using Warwicks for black metal--why not? The pickups definitely sound cold enough!). I saw them live with Carcass and it was an incredible experience. They made the whole evening worth while. There are some really awesome black metal bassists out there, one of my other favorites being Bogge from Marduk.

im as big a 1349 fan as the next guy, but ravn must have hurt his voice or been drunk or something. they were really off. ive seen them twice live, both times hiis vocals were way better than they were here. one thing that DID piss me off is that they use tony laraeno or however the fuck you spell his name. and that dick fucked up like 3 times during the last show i went to, that shit was so gay. he messed up the intro to sculptor of flesh...like wtf???? whatever, 1349 rules anyway
