im actually having a better life now. 100% better! im in school, going to college, in a few years ill live my dream of becoming a mathematics professor/research mathematician, and everything, so i guess its a happy ending for me over all
"Nonmembers of the LDS church had relative risks ranging from 3.43 (ages 1519 years) to 6.27 (ages 2024 years)"
"Using active (high religious commitment) LDS as the reference group, the less-active (low religious commitment) LDS group had relative risks of suicide ranging from 3.28 (ages 1519 years) to 7.64 (ages 2529 years);"
So the highest percentage in the non-member group is 6.27%, and the high rate for active LDS is 7.64%.
You can see the inconsistencies in that study though. In the LDS member group they include 25-29 years of age. In the non-member group they include 20-24 years in the age comparison.
So the slant there benefits the LDS side of this study. The reason being, is that suicide is always higher in teens and young adults.
So they are comparing a younger group of non-Mormons, to an older group of active LDS.
Even though the study is done by BYU. I would expect them to be un-bias! =(
@omiolo1 Yes, but Mormonism makes more Atheists especially when they realize they've been had. The most common by product of Mormonism is Atheism, but then Mormonism is Atheism!
@IExposeMormonism this type of censorship is exactly why i got the hell out of utah as soon as i left mormonism...as soon as i chose to leave the faith, for my own personal reasons, i lost my job, i lost all my friends, my family disowned me...the whole town of Pleasant Grove shunned me! yeah, u pretty much commit social suicide when you leave! oh well. you know :)
@83Mathdude I've heard it happening. awolLDSasap lives near PG. I just posted 3 videos on Adam God Doctrine. Many a Mormon has denied it or is ignorant of it. It's a lot to chew on.

actually you should read ACTUAL scientific research.
Hilton, SC et al "Suicide Rates and Young Adult Males in Utah" American Journal of Epidemiology (2002) Vol. 155 No. 5 p. 413.
this research states that the suicide rate by ACTIVE Mormons is very low one of the lowest in the NATION and 7 times lower than others in Utah.
Or is John Hopkins University Pro-mormon?

From that study that you are citing.

"the high rate for active LDS is 7.64%. "
NO, please do NOT be dishonest.
Read table THREE, the highest rate of suicide for ACTIVE LDS people is 1.00%.
The 7.64% is for the inactive. ANTImormons who have NOT had their name removed!

I actually FILMED the study and made my comments on another video.
Seriously bud, check it out!
And this study was done by BYU, by Mormons, for Mormons. It was not done by John Hopkins.
You are trying to twist the facts, but I will untwist them partner. Check out my video.

yah MORmONS love that technique
as soon as someone is a liabiltiy or embarassment to THE church somehow they are not a member!
ASK A MORmON
they will tell you
Ron & Dan Lafferty are not MORmONS!
Mark Hoffman is not a MORmoN!
Brian David Mitchell is not a Mormon
despite their having all the critical MORmON ordinances and upbringing.
MORmONS!
