  • Thank you for a video with the Trader Joe's logo at the beginning of it, behind you, because seeing that alone makes me happy and makes my serotonin levels rise! LOL! Secondly, this is eye opening... l've been cheap & bought olive oil that wasn't extra virgin because l figured its better than using some regular vegetable oil. I haven't used vegetable oil in 8 or 9 years.

But seeing this is amazing. I recently found a brand from Italy that was $4 for a 1 liter bottle, but its probably fake. :-(

  • @davidbrucemusicvideo glad to be of service... yeah buy a California brand if you can. Peace :-)

  • Thanks for important information, it's so disappointing how the food industry fools us. I also wanted to add: refined peanut oil is a negligible risk for people with allergy (the refining process removes the proteins). But that's no excuse for the scam. Bananas in plastic, I bought such a few weeks ago and found a little Hispaniola frog sitting inside! He is still alive after travelling from Dominican Rep over to Germany but it must have been so cold for the poor little one...

  • Canola is running rampant as a cheap processed food filler.

    Is it bad for you?

Is oil damaged by sunlight? Are there many companies that will sell opaque bottles?

  • @JuggaloOzi I heard canola oil isn't good for you and I know it's terrible when it comes to the environment.

  • Thanks dude, I had no idea.

  • @IronCladBen yup! :-)

  • i don't live in California :(

  • @FatDancer08 you don't have to live in California to buy good olive oil. California olive oil is sold all around the world... no matter where you live beware of the other brands chances are it's not good olive oil. :-)

  • i use hemp oil mostly..i wonder what the standards are for that?? hmm. gonna have to do my research now. thanks for the info....and keeping ir REAL. i buy the same olive oil that you bought at trader joes....nice to know the truth about it.

  • @mcarbone4 HEMP OIL IS AMAZING I love it! :-)

  • For some reason, this does not surprise me at all. And just imagine many of the other products that we buy that is suppose to be 100% this and that and iit probably is not...

Thanks so much for the vital info, Brother Echo...

  • @Nina513 RIGHT NINA... that's the attitude one should have. I personally assume that most packaged products by big companies especially are cutting corners. This frame of mind helps to keep me in line when I want to eat fast and easy. Instead I make sure to plan out my days so I can get to the farmers markets and proper health food stores to get food I know is all good! :-) Namaste sister.

  • @Nina513 The answer to this problem is simple: grow your own food. Visit my channel or especially John Kohler's @growingyourgreens channel

  • how many channels do you have!! haha :) i learned way too much about olive oil in this! thank you though and much love!

  • @edgey1333 ha ha... 3 channels total. Well 3 I'm telling you about... muah ahahahaha

  • I was happy you said the TJ brand tasted funny. Trader Joe's has pretty good customer service but I am sure they won't admit to cut Olive Oil.

Brother Echo not all your viewers are in CA I am in PA Northeast country near the Poconos. Here I just buy Goya for salad dressing although I am not using much of it anymore looking to expand and try different types of oils.

About the bananas that is the only brand they sell around here I have to travel if I want another brand.

  • @Zippypo Aloha Zippy! I hear ya on the bananas so work with what you've got. Yeah if you're going to buy olive oil be sure to look for olive oil produced and made in California. You might not live here but chances are you will be able to find olive oil from the Golden State! :-)

  • hmm..is there a list of what brands sell authentic "uncut" olive oil? i don't have a trader joes near me.and whole foods is over an hour away..so i mostly purchase olive oil from the supermarket. :(

  • @Creatiopoetic if you go to the raw sangha website or look in the description of this video I have a link to the .pdf file from the study done by UC Davis they list all the oils they tested. Aside from that look for brands produced in California next time you're shipping. I hope that helps. Namaste -BE :-)

  • @ConsciousActivist it does help..thank you so much for providing us with valuable information. bless

  • @Creatiopoetic Thank you :-)

  • love olives

  • @StomperReed HECK YEAH ME TOO :-)

  • I love this channel! Keep doing your thing Brother echo!

  • @westindixie... sho-NUFF!!! :-)

  • nice video Brother Echo

  • Great Info! I find it interesting that rules are different for imported items. From outside our country are the items that should be more regulated.

  • @KITTYKITTYBO Yeah and the regulations setup by the USDA are a bit outdated as well. Testing in Germany has much more up to date methods. Peace :-)

  • @ConsciousActivist It is not the effort of the German government, but the consumer protection activist groups that allow no intimidation by politics and companies. The same mess (including the oil scam) happens here in Germany too in spite of the standards. It is so important to inform oneself and others. So thanks. Great channel!

  • @baum7des7lebens7 Thank you for tuning in Baum and thanks for the info on the ground in Germany! Peace :-)
