Thanks for posting this! I love that you added the audio from Todd Ellis and Tommy Suggs. I hate listening to the ESPN announcers. I don't know what some of those Nebraska fans were drinking but it must have kicked in at halftime. Seems to me I saw a different game than they did! SEC DOMINATION!!! GO GAMECOCKS!!!! Oh by the way to quote Mr. Ward "I would hate the think I had the better team and lost by 17 points!"
@rebelmom67 Funny how SC fans think SC dominated that game. Nebraska completely shut down SC in the first half. Alshon pushes off on the hail mary and a pass interference on an uncatchable ball keeps an SC driving going which turned into a td. SC gets 2 points on a blocked extra point. That's 16 points SC shouldn't have had. Nebraska shoots itself in the foot all second half and the result is a 17 point SC win. Domination? Not hardly. Nebraska beat themselves. SC had very little to do with it.
@spiderdragon1969 dude the blocked PAT is just better special teams play, that's not luck. and you can't just say that because we shouldn't have had those other two touchdowns that we wouldn't have gotten any more touchdowns if they had made the (supposedly) right call.. we would have still scored points in the second half no matter what happened in the first. i don't really think you understand that
@nt2094 Nobody gives a fuck about my musical tastes. I happen to like hair metal. It was the 80's and I was single and hair metal concerts were overflowing with hot women. It was a great time. So what ! Stick to the subject.
@nt2094@spiderdragon1969 dude did you watch the game? did you see the stats? usc dominated nebraska on every aspect of the game.. we played better football. nebraska had turnovers, more (legit) penalties, and didn't have even close to usc's defense. you can't just say because of a couple missed calls that could have gone either way, nebraska would have won and is the better team that's not how it works. i agree 100%
congrats to all u gamecock fans. this was a great game. in bowl pickem, i picked south carolina to win this game. what a win for the Gamecock program. hell out of a catch by Alshon Jeffery.
For the life of me I still can't figure out why Nebraska didn't just tackle Jeffery before he caught the pass. Pass interference is only a 15 yard penalty in college ball. That would move the ball 15 yards closer and give SC another shot at it. By the way, Jeffery pushed off big time but of course the officials wouldn't call it because they had to make sure an SEC team won on an ESPN channel !
@spiderdragon1969 sounds like a Husky pants wearing fan. There was no Push show me a push. Hell they need to call fonzi humping alshon most of the game. They should of called sexual harrassment on him for being all up on jefferies nuts.
@spiderdragon1969 Ummm... no. You sound butthurt. I mean that positively. Alshon just owned those guys... plain and simple. And he got punched twice and held ALL game yet got ejected for pushing a guy that punched him. Come on man? That was officials trying to give the SEC the game? No, SC owning the last 3 quarters is what got them the game. If you wanna win the game, play better.
@PrettierThanMatt Alshon clearly pushed off, he punched back...that's why he got ejected, Dennard bodied up on him to shut him down and take him out of SC's offense, the officials were horrible...remember the pass interference on a pass that was 10 feet over everyone's heads?...remember the obvious block in the back that was flagged and then waved off?...remember the personal foul face mask that never got called?...ESPN has a multi million dollar contract with the SEC. Make sense now?
@spiderdragon1969 That is legitimately the dumbest fucking argument I've ever read. What does the contract have to do with SEC dominating? Do you honestly think they only do so because the refs help them out? SEC dominates because they eat corn bread and collard greens their whole life then salivate at the opportunity to prove their superiority, which they tend to do over and over again without any help from the officials. If you think a few calls made Neb lose by 17, you don't know football
@TREYJEEZY The pass interference call extended the drive which resulted in a SC td. No pass interference, probably no td. The push off by Ashlon resulted in a td. No push off, no td. The block in the back on a punt return that got waved off would have buried SC close to their own goal line. No call, SC gets the ball close to mid field. So yes, a few bad calls did change this game. ESPN's multi million dollar contract with the SEC does influence refs calls more than you think.
@spiderdragon1969 You're delusional. Basically what you're saying is that refs are perfect (lulz) UNLESS the station carrying the game happens to have a contract with the winning team's conference.
You're delusional. One game, one chance. Blame it on whoever you like, but only a true loser doesn't place the blame on themselves.
@spiderdragon1969 What about the uncalled face mask at the goal line or the pass interference called on south Carolina when the ball was not catch able .and I have watch over and over again never seen Alshon throw a punch. Fact is you lost to a better team !
@sandmoran You are right, Alshon didn't punch back but the shove to the face will get you kicked out every time. The point you are missing is that if you take away the pass interference and you call the push off on the hail mary and the block in the back on the punt return, you have yourself a 16-13 game instead of a 30-13 game. Therefore, SC did not beat Nebraska because SC was the better team. SC beat Nebraska because they got the breaks on the penalties which resulted in two SC touchdowns.
@spiderdragon1969 dude did you watch the game? did you see the stats? usc dominated nebraska on every aspect of the game.. we played better football. nebraska had turnovers, more (legit) penalties, and didn't have even close to usc's defense. you can't just say because of a couple missed calls that could have gone either way, nebraska would have won and is the better team that's not how it works
@spiderdragon1969 absolutely I agree. . .Nebraska embarrassed an SEC team with clearly superior speed, size and talent for 3 quarters. the score means nothing to me . . .proud of my Husks. . .GO BIG RED BABY. wait til Burkhead cuts loose next year.
@LincolnBoy71 Our Huskers dominated SC for one half. The push off hail mary and the blocked PAT were the only things they did right in 30 minutes of play. Because of absolutely terrible officiating, SC got 14 points they shouldn't have gotten. End result-SC wins. But our Huskers have most of their team back next year and the year after. They start several freshmen and sophomores. BCS bowl games here we come ! Too bad these bowl games aren't played up north instead of in the SEC's backyard !
@spiderdragon1969 Wow....what are you smoking? Dennard absolutely raped Alshon Jeffery the entire game. He basically tackled the guy mid-route every play, and we couldn't get it called. There were calls missed on both sides, as there usually is. Take your ass whipping like a man.
@bahdahdoop Kind of funny how a Nebraska fan gets made fun of when he complains about the pass interference call on an uncatchable pass or the obvious block in the back on a SC punt return or the hail mary pass where Alshon clearly pushes off in order to gain clearance to catch the pass but yet you SC fans keep complaining how the refs didn't call Dennard for mugging Jeffrey. You can't have it both ways. Either stop complaining about Dennard or man up and say the refs sucked both ways !
@spiderdragon1969 Did you read my comment? I said the refs sucked both ways. That's why it's idiotic to go on these rants about how Nebraska was actually the better team. That's a ludicrous assertion. The Carolina D-line got after you in the 2nd half just as they've done all season. The SC offense moved the ball effectively when it needed to, just like THEY'VE done all season. You guys got beat by a smart QB and a terrific defense. Period. Better luck next year.
@bahdahdoop Nebraska beat themselves. SC had very little to do with it. Nebraska gave you 16 points,(Alshon's push off hail mary-two points on a blocked extra point-a td because the refs kept the drive alive on a terrible pass interference), that you wouldn't have otherwise gotten. Take those 16 points away and it's a one point game. Call the block in the back on a punt return that got waved off and Nebraska has control of the game. The refs and Husker mistakes gave you the win.
@bahdahdoop One last comment cuz this is giving me a headache. Go celebrate your first ever 11 win season, one in which you didn't play LSU or Alabama, I might add. @spiderdragon1969 If you only knew how pathetic you sound right now. If this, if that, the refs cheated, blah blah blah. Grow up and take your loss like a man.
@spiderdragon1969 dude we didnt get dominated in the least bit haha you're incredibly delusional. and we started plenty of freshmen and sophomores. hahaha go back to hair metal and nebraska and do something with yourself instead of making a complete fool of yourself in all your posts
