Actualy you should replace them once a month. The strings get rusty and they start to sound bad after some time. And after all, my strings won't last a month, they break earlier :(

My english isn't that good :D What is a string lubricant? And i know it depends on type of strings, but i tried elixir, cleartone, dr, D'addario... Cleartone is the best strings i've ever had, but quite expensive... i had to pay 18.5 euro... DR are also quite good, and don't break that fast, and only €8

String lubricant helps keep the strings live longer and also makes it easier for string changes and things.

I use Martins a lot on my acoustic.

For my electric, i use Ernie Ball.

It depends on how much you play too, i think.

Automatic tuning has nothing to do with knowing how to play. I doubt you can tune by ear. For example, why use an electric can opener opposed to a manual one, because its more convenient.

But Convieniecy doesn't mean that they can't do it, I've been playing for over 2 years, and know how to tune by ear, and yes I admit thisz guitar is nice, but its nothing like tuning a real guitar. if convieniency for a skilled guitar player is pulling out a knob strumming and pushing the knob back in, why not have someoneelse play your guitar, its really not that bad... Its just a cool "toy" for a nice les paul... and an EXPENSIVE "Toy"
