  • i was wondering how tall you are. because my dad is 6ft 4 1/2in and 260lbs. and hes a little big for my 1994 ford ranger extended cab. i was wondering if he would have enough room in the ford f-150 extended cab.

  • @DuBois994 He should have plenty of room im 6 foot even my brother is 2 inches taller than me and has no trouble at all getting in and out of this truck. The roof is extra tall which is nice especially for my brother. I wouldn't doubt that you dad would be able to fit in it very nicely. My dad is about the same size as I am.

  • @1972FordF100 im 6'6, i weigh under 210 but, i do fit inside my friends 2001 F150 4 door short bed, lariat. im not sure if there is a difference between the room in this and in his, but, theres plenty of room to fit me in there!

  • extended bed

  • ????

  • there not alloy but oh well

    hah

  • ???

  • It is a nice truck no doubt. However it isn't a Supercrew. The Supercrew has full size rear doors. Not knocking it by any means though friend.

  • Oh no problem it is a crew cab I know that now for sure I made a mistake. (a pretty big one at that for ford people lol)

  • Nice truck

  • GREAT F150 GREAT SHAPE LOVE IT 10*

  • Thanks Jovan.

  • any time my dad always wanted a pick up like that

  • Cool hows your dad feeling last time you told us he had some health issues I hope hes okay.

  • he wasnt working for 5-6 months and we lost our house but my dad almost sold the house its almost ready to be given to the new owners and he started working since august of 08 back at his job he doing great now and he taking medications for life but overall he been great and thank god he survived 3 heart attacks and is doing well thank you for asking about him i appriciate it

  • wow he has been through alot good to hear he's doing better and getting back to it.

  • yeah thanx for the concern bud =]

  • Nice truck, your Dad do anything to it? Any Mods?

  • Nope no modifications yet he doesn't want me to touch his truck that why I play around with mine lol.

  • ha my dads 01 has 158xxx on it but it has 5.4 and it is 4x4

  • im personally a fan of the Ford Ranger and Bronco II, and i always liked the 92-96 Ford F-150s. The 97 and 98 models are ok too, but otherwise no.

Is this truck a special order for a work company? i swear ive only seen one of these supercab trucks with the 4.2L. The 4.2L is just an enlarged 3.8L, and the that was one of Fords most troublesome motors, just to name one thing they liked to blow head gaskets. Its cool to have a truck thats unique though. Nice video, five stars.

  • Thank you as for special work truck Im strongly thinking it is I don't have proof but after researching it on the internet I have found that the cooling fan and whole motor are much louder and stronger feeling than a regular. I do know about the 4.2's but with anything you have problems no matter what unless you had a clevland or windsor stuffed in there but we aren't living in the late 70's through 90's anymore those days are long gone.

  • ive got a 2003 ford expedition xlt 2wd and it can tow 8600 pounds but the gas mileage is horrible but it is my mothers car and she loves it

  • is it 4x4???????

  • WOOPPSSS i typed it in b4 i saw the video

  • Go Ford, I think that's the best vehicle to drive, fuck foreign pieces of shit

  • Ford makes some pretty trucks. That truck is very nice! Very clean. It sounds pretty loud. Done anything to the exhaust?

  • Thank you Bill. Unfourtnatly the truck is bone stock except for the tinted windows thats it. I think it is funny though on the exaust it is pretty loud already at the motor sounds like a bus when driving sometimes but when you head twoards the exhaust it is almost wisper quiet I have been checking youtube and Im now a fan of the gibson exhaust system for the 4.2s. Thanks for your comment.

  • I wouldn't do mufflers. Thrush glass packs sound good and are free flowing. My $110 Flowmaster didn't sound any better than my 31'' $30 Thrush glass pack. You might want to suggest this to your dad, see what he says. :P

  • we just bought a 2008 f-150 xl, but a crew cab and the 4.6L V-8. we have an '07 f-150 with the 5.4 and it isn't all that bad on gas, fo a truck, but we needed a little more fuel economy. that is a tough little v-8, though. it really feels like a bigger engine than it is, and has over 20 mpg, not bad for a truck of its size. i personally like that body style better though, too bad the crash rating is horrible lol. those are good trucks, though.

  • Yeah the crash ratings kind of scare me but when we bought it in april it was a steal according to kbb it should sell for 11,000 with its age and miles it has but we picked it up for 6,500 us dollars plus I knew its history since I worked around it when I started working for maintenance.

  • our new f-150s have a 5 star front crash rating, and a 4 star rollover. the rollover rating was pretty impressive. unfortunately we couldn't get ours for 6 grand lol, but hey, it's still a truck, right? and a ford truck at that. the only downfall to ur truck is its small engine, but that really just means it can't tow a huge load.

  • Yeah very true the six wont tow as much but it will put up a fight. I know a guy who towed a modulear home that typical mini semis tow with his little 4.2 ford it pulled it where it needed to go but he burnt the clutch in the process. The most wed ever tow is a flatbed with a car on it and that it we usually like to use the pickups box to haul anything it beats having to hook onto a trailer all the time.

  • yeah with my f-250 i have a lift gate installed, so i can put pretty much whatever i want in the bed, it doesn't really matter how heavy. although there is one thing that fit in the bed but bottommed out the suspension, it was a kubota tractor. my dad felt like being in one of his stupid days so he lowered the lift gate half way and used the tractor bucket to pull it onto the truck. he actuall got it completely in the bed, but the shocks were completely bottomed out lol. it was funnt though.

  • My neighbor has one of these, a 2001 Regular cab with the Trition V8. 12 MPG is killing him though, he bought a 4 Cylinder S10 and is selling the F150

  • Well the insurance company will not let us touch that truck anymore, so I cant make a v8Ranger. That 4.6L was rebuilt only about 2 years ago too, and is worth somthing. But im thinking about possibly a 4.2 Ranger, if gas prices fall a bit. I might just go with a 4 banger Ranger. They are good engines too.

  • Reminds me of our truck a little...

  • Im hoping it is good memories of your truck? This week we had a guy total a 2002 by a train collision unfortnatly he and a passenger didn't survive his truck looked like ours but was 4 wheel drive v-8 and a year behind Thanks for commenting. Hope your dads doing better as well.

  • nice video!!! fords are the best trucks ever!!!

  • Thank you Treasa it is a true ford beast

  • Ford Fun On Rocks[and] Dirt

  • Very nice vid, Richard. Very thorough! I think your dad's engine is the same as the one in my 98 E150 van. It's a little slow in the van, but I think it's ideal in the lighter truck. Great work! Look forward to the followup! :) Jack

  • Thank you jack. I will say it is not a tire spinner like the 360 is but for fuel mileage now I'd rather fill up the v-6 and have it last 2 weeks instead of the v-8 which lasts about half a week.

  • Now that's definitely a big point in its favor right now! Gas is still 3.95 here in the Orlando area...they're giving us a break!

    :) Jack

  • lol we had an e-350 van with the 5.4L. it's a great engine for that thing and could tow anything we threw at it. unfortunately the gas milage was killing us, so we sold it and bought a new f-150 XL with the 4.6L. we have another f-150 with the 5.4 but it's the company truck. we can't get a little car because we have 6 people and the f-150 was the most roomy vehicle with the best fuel efficiency and capabilities that we wanted. i still miss the van though for long trips though.

  • That's why I think big vehicles will always be around..they are used to haul big loads, pull boats, carry people. The smaller vehicles have their limitations, and small engines, pushed to the limit, will not be as efficient either..I'm thinking of the tremendously underpowered Dakota truck I once had with a 4 cylinder engine..it should have stayed in a K-car! Thanks! :)Jack

  • yeah the 4.6L f-150 is a great truck and has plenty of power for just about anything. it gets the fuel efficiency of some bigger cars, too. and it can tow a pretty big load. i won't ever buy a small car unless gas gets to like $20 a gallon. this truck handles like a sportscar, too. i mean talk about taking a corner. for a truck i'm very suprised by how well it handles.

  • Ford always did have the reputation for building a tough truck. There's a model of the truck constuction at the dealers, and it shows the extra detail they put in their trucks. Stuff that doesn't necessarily show, but keeps the truck strong for many miles! Jack

  • Thanks jack for that I havent been to a ford dealer in ages (im cheap I buy used lol) of course our local ones are pushy and try to get you to sign your life away as soon as you get on the lot. But thanks for the comment.

  • I know exactly what you're talking about, Richard! Pushy salesman..years ago, I walked into a Buick dealership to look at a new 65 Skylark convertible...they saw me drive up in my 64 Dodge Dart convert..the salesman had the nerve to ask "when are you going to GET RID of that"..pointing to the Dart! I turned around and walked out! Needless to say, no sale was made! Things haven't changed much, either, but some dealers are better! :) Jack

  • hey and those things must be doing their job, especially with the abuse we throw at our ford trucks. we had an '03 f-150 XLT 5.4L, looks the same as the 1 in this vid, and from a month after we bought it new to a few days we sold it (just a month or 2 ago) it has had a load on it. a ladder rack, 30 gallon spraying rig, and fully loaded box in the very back where the tailgate was supposed to be. to this day, the only thing not stock is the fanbelt, and that was just from a habit of changing them.

  • hey, there both built ford tough, kick ass trucks
