Yes i like the cedar top as i find it resonates very easily for finger picking. I think spruce tops need more effort and take longer to achieve their sound.

any advice on the options between the EBG808L (cedar top, like yours)and the EBG808 (spruce top)? The price diff. is quite substantial

Well I feel the sound distorts earlier with the cedar tone when played hard, But the tone is wonderfull. The spruce top is brighter and tighter sounding. For the price I cant fault mine. Truly inspiring guitar to play.

Thank you Pascal for listening. Im trying hard to find more flow in my playing.If you ever come by Ill lend you the Maton . The guitar is now starting to settle down and im beginning to Know how it should be played. It responds well to a light touch and gets very punchy when driven hard.
