How many minutes does the file system upgrade take? I've been trying on and off for hours and I can't seem to get it to update. It just gives me the stupid bar at the bottom. I'd really like to know so I can just set it down and forget about it or troubleshoot the problem.

my firmare is still on 1.6, ive tried to insert on the sd card lots of firmares (scripts) on the root but it still didnt read even though i am able to use the sd card to read the files such as pdf. Anyone can help me out? thanks

Firmware updates should always be done on AC power. Bad, bad example shown here!

Forget the trashy tablets like eken m001 ! I gave the same money and took the android techpad from ebay, it even has usb port for attaching a usb flash drive! 800ghz cpu and it runs smoothly!

Watch very good, dont buy stuff that you will throw to the trash bin after some days.

i think i bricked mine lol. i just bought it and it had a few tihngs i didnt want on there and i did a factory reset and now its stuck on the loading screen...help pleaseeeee :)

once you install the firmware will it allow you to install apps from the official android market? I'm deciding whether or not it is worth buying and I figure no without the firmware, but does the mod make the difference?

finding the firmware: go to slatedroid. go to downloads on top bar menu. click on firmware link for eken m001. find eken official upgrade. download it. that is where you get the firmware.

ich habe das update gemacht aba iwie ist da was falsch gelaufen

es war alles wie beschrieben doch als es hieß ich solle die sd-karte rausziehen was ich gemacht habe blieb der bildschirm dannach schwarz

ich habe dann das gerät aus gemacht und öfters den reset-knopf gedrückt

jetzt geht das gerät nicht mehr an sondern flackert nur einmal kurz auf

was kann ich nun tun bitte um schnelle hilfe

I just bought one of these. I gotta say, it's an awful product. The touch screen is poor and after having it a matter of hours, it's not just stopped working all together. Best of all? nobody knows how to fix these things.

Hast du schon erfahrung mit den Update Möglichkeiten? DIe Wlan Karte ist ja intern mit USB angesteuert. Bei SlateDroid haben sie das ja schon hinbekommen z.B. eine Maus oder Tastatur anzuschließen.

Kann man mit den Updates z.B. Treiber für einen 3G-Stick installieren?

You need to download a new firmware and then copy the whole thing on a SD card into a folder you called "script". It has to be inside a folder called "script" or else the device won't regognize it.

Wt Firmware is it?? Original EKEN or a Mod like on the EKEN Googlegroups posted?They have 2 or 3 different Versions to speed up the Device, make HTC widgets available und fixes some bugs.
