Great video! The inside of my iMac 27 inch has gotten so dusty that I'm about to remove the screen with a suction cup and clean it. This is so ridiculous! Apple needs to improve their quality control.

imac is flawed in design - the more powerful the imac i.e i7/i5 processor heat - vertical design of the parts so the heat goes up through the other parts - finally NO power button to switch the monitor off and you only put it to sleep, mouse/application events wake it up. Apple knows a monitor power button would prolong the imac life. imac i7 lifetime = 1 year before it breaks.

Not because it's a better OS but because it's better for ME. I'm not a media professional, but my iMac is still worth it for me for all my basic computing needs. @frostyfireman Get this, I bought a Sony Vaio laptop and the HardDrive within 2 weeks...get this I bought a Macbook laptop and within 3 days the harddrive broke...get this HardDrives brake randomly weather you're running a Mac OS or a Windows OS...oh and get this, Apple don't make their HardDrives.
@Penri02 I wasn't implying that windows computers have invincible HDDs, though i've never had a HDD drive fail in any of my machines while many of my mac owning friends have had HDD failures. I buy only Hitachi, so that might be part of my lack of HDD failures. They are built like tanks.

Tell your viewers to unplug the Imac after it's shut down. Then plug the power cord back in and hold the power button in for a few seconds then let go. This will kick in the fans on high speed eliminating the over heating.
Though the Mac OS is pretty nice, i find that windows 7 is a very good OS. As long as you have good anti-virus software and you're not a complete idiot when it comes to downloading items off the internet then you should be fine.

Listen, people that say Macs are amazing and windows sucks need to shut up.
Im a Mac user. Windows is a great os. There sint a NEED for mac when doign multimedia, as a profession.
Otherwise there isnt a NEED. There may be a want, and even as a hobby its fine.
Its just downright stupid to say that they are 10 times better than windows in every other way. They are only better because of what they run. Just buying one for internet is NOT worth it. Period.

@randomjunkguy yes and no. the flaming wars need to stop, i agree with that. however, it's a matter of preference as to which OS is better. For me, OSX IS better than Windows. Not because it's a better OS but because it's better for ME. I'm not a media professional, but my iMac is still worth it for me for all my basic computing needs. I find myself having a way better experience.

@Penri02 I wasn't implying that windows computers have invincible HDDs, though i've never had a HDD drive fail in any of my machines while many of my mac owning friends have had HDD failures. I buy only Hitachi, so that might be part of my lack of HDD failures. They are built like tanks.
This video is about problems with the 09' iMac, his hard-drive failure so happens to be a problem that ocurred the new iMac. I'd say it's relevant.

Tell your viewers to unplug the Imac after it's shut down. Then plug the power cord back in and hold the power button in for a few seconds then let go. This will kick in the fans on high speed eliminating the over heating.

There is no better computer. It's a great OS and it's very smooh gameplay is epic. Where windows has great computers but it has lots of viruses. My Mom got a windows vista Laptop 6 months ago. In he first 2 hours it got a virus. Behind all that it's still a awesome computer. But I'm looking for a more creative computer so I'd go with a Mac
