I listened to mr obama's thoughts on how we, the taxpayers could help those Americans who's homes were on the verge of foreclosure. The only problem with mr obama's thoughts, is that the amount(s) needed does not match mr obama's proposed fix. If we multiply the total number of homes, in threat of being foreclosed upon, and the amount of money needed to help prevent those foreclosures, that total is far higher than mr obama's total(s) But then, he is still in the "On The Job Training" mode.

During President Obama's inauguration I saw a country stood shoulder-to-shoulder ready to work together to accomplish anything set out by its new leader. I was worried with the current problems people might be lemmings who would do anything without questions.
Its good to see some distrust even if it is directed inappropriately. That said perhaps if people were more constructive with their comments, maybe they would receive a reply explaining for instance how particular figures were derived.

When the real-estate agent asked me to get a pre-approval, I went to Chase: I have two mortgages from Chase, I have good credit, and I always pay on time. The pre-approval was always free, but it costs $295 now. Their 30/15 years fixed rate is now the same at 5.25%, which is not much lower than before. 15 years is usually lower than the 30 years rate. I could not believe my ears when Chase asked me to go to other banks to get a free pre-approval.

Actually, no. Freedom of speech does not = freedom to insult. Under the 'Actual Malice' condition, determined by the Supreme Court in the New York Times Co. v. Sullivan 376 U.S. 254 (1964) case, you are committing actual malice if you publish information with "knowledge that the information was false" or "with reckless disregard of whether it was false or not" and so loose the protection of the First Amendment and thus are subject to be sued for Liability.

I just don't think I want a bunch of politicians running the bank any more than the people currently running them. I think we need to put stronger regulations on them, but if we nationalize them now they will stay that way forever. Socialism hasn't work anywhere else and it probably won't work here.

Third, I am not a huge fan of the Stimulus Bill. It is a bit too bloated, unfortunately. However, there are indeed some positives within. Increased funding for Pell Grants is what I liked to see. I wish they focused more on long-term infrastructure projects/infrastructure projects in general, as well as in the Sciences/Math research.
