Those Etecs are the can not be beat, They start first time everytime anytime, They will eat any 4 stroke on the planet and with fuel injection and oil injection they have better fuel economy then a 4 stroke, Etec is the Ultimate. Uxcore you have no idea trying to compare motor cycle engines with Marine engines, do a little research and you will see Etec is the Best

thats not correct.

The 4stoke are in acceleration faster than the 2stroke for motocross bikes. and the 2strokes are faster in the endspeed than 4 strokes. i tested it in a mx race ;)

@uXcore don't compare a motocross bike to an outboard...they have gears that change the way an engine performs...outboards do not, they're performance is all engine and DI twostrokes are at the top from fuel efficiency, to acceleration, to top speed.

The speed depends on a lot of things, the boat, conditions, etc. 2-strokes generally get out of the hole a lot quicker than 4 strokes. They are a lot lighter and develop more power than a 4 stroke based on engine size (i.e. 3.4L v-6 vs. 5.3L v-8). I just watched the maestrale 780 w/ Yamaha 350 v8 and the Evinrude just sounds meaner too. If I had the cash, it'd be an E-TEC.

"Now thats hootin nanny", BRP does it again. Now lets get BRP to dust off the OMC 4.0L Looper V8 Block and and we could have a factory 400HP engine. The Suzuki/Yamaha 4 strokes don't quite do it. The Yamaha V8 is 327cid. The best 327 was the HK Holden GTS 327Monaro (In Australia) However the early FI Corvettes made moer go. It is a shame the OMC V8 faded away like Enya.
