Last but not least for those wondering, or who's ears are that poorly trained... They are BOTH playing guitar in this one... you people are insanely dense or just clueless when it comes to music to not hear both the rhythm and the lead riffs in this. The acoustics sort of blend together but you'd think if you were going to comment on the guitars that you'd at least have the general knowledge to know what they both play, respectively, in this particular song.

They should get another singer, this one can play guitar really really well, and he can sing for sure, but there are better vocalists out there, this band could get only better that way, Im not hating on Matt, I just think they vocals are the weakest part of the band (and they are not that weak anyway)

@Joakinrocker i kinda agree. if you watch some of their videos, you can see that matt is a MUCH better guitarist than corey, but he gets stuck with the rythym since he has to sing too. but then i love his screams. especially on the new song. but then i think if they get a regular clean singer then have him scream, theyll start replacing more of the screams with more clean vocals. so idk. lol. im just babbling now

@alpengeist19 When it comes to fact, your opinion doesn't matter. You clearly don't understand what the guy meant by "Technically proficient". Matt's solo's are rhythm/melody oriented and filled with legato and hammer-ons/pull-offs. On a technical skill level, Corey is much better. Listen to his solo's, they are very TECHNICAL. This means he uses and demonstrates EXTENSIVELY his musical knowledge via scales and arpeggio's at blinding speeds. Matt cannot shred as hard as Corey.

@alpengeist19 Also, picking a song that was made for the God of War 3 soundtrack doesn't hold any water at ALL. If you're going to try and reference a song for your argument and have anyone take you seriously, at least use 2-3 songs and one that isn't so one sided (For the record, any trivium after shogun sucks ass imo). On the ENTIRE Shogun Album, Corey pushed his solo's up a step with blinding speed and accuracy in his playing. Also if you've seen them live, Matt makes a lot of mistakes.

@JayRocka0617 Hey no offence, but i understand why your abit upset by alpengeists comment, but at the same time, he said that matt heafys solo was "better" in shattering the skies, but that is only 1 song, he isnt saying corey is shit at guitar or that matt heafy is well better then corey, hes saying he liked matt heafys solo for that song, and thats what makes trivium unique, the fact that there solos are so different that fans can like one or the other, or both.
