I have hormonal acne. Anyways i got mine compromise by using walgreens produck oxy 10 gel. You're right it doesn't happen over night but it sure dried up the spot and after 3 days it resolve the problem. All i have fix is the scarring it will fades out over time. Acne is caused by sucrose ( sugar ) and corn syrup. I'm 48 years old, I had acne for 12 years ( from age 14 until 26 ) then I read a book called Sugar Blues, which explained that acne is caused by sugar. Have you thought of trying scar gel? I haven't heard of it used for acne scars, but when I worked at a Pharmacy two of the pharmacists said that it really does work on scars. It speeds up the healing process, so the skin in that area with flake a lot. Oh and they said you have to apply it a lot of times throughout the day. Anyways, I haven't tried it yet. I still have acne, so I'm gonna work on that first. I'm hoping the products you recommended will work for my skin too. Thanks!

What finally worked for me was Skin ID(very rough on skin at first)..Lemon/Honey/Olive Oil/Sugar face wash in the morning..Aspirin/honey mask one a week.Yogurt/honey mask once a week..Good diet, exercise, and plenty of water..Also used Monodox pills for a few weeks..Just keep trying until you find something that works for you, different skin has different solutions..for acne scars lemon on face for 10 min works great

Oh, btw, before I get a smartass remark like "i'm sure it maeks u grow hairy palms 2" go do some research and look up first-hand experiences people have had with quitting masturbation and their acne vanishing in 2-3 weeks. There are myths, but this is not one of them.
The only people who are going to confirm what I'm telling you here are those who know firsthand. Derms and everyone else seem to think it's a myth. It's NOT. I am dead serious.

@TheInternetVigilante: It's possible, but difficult. But to those of you who want a free alternate solution and feel like enduring it, just try abstaining for a few weeks and see. Most of you may not find it worthwhile though.
DHT released by the habit overloads the amount of toxins the liver has to filter out, and the toxins are disposed of through the skin instead... that's why it causes acne... DHT also stimulates sebum production, causing even more acne. That's the explanation behind it.

im a guy and ive got no problem with using face wash. mostly because im sick of being ugly!
thanks so much for this, im definitely going to try the oxy one as soon as i can. my problem is that im a wrestler and a judo player and practice with each for several hours at a time so i get really sweaty and dirty. im really hoping that this works for me. definitely boost my self confidence.

Acne is caused by sucrose ( sugar ) and corn syrup. I'm 48 years old, I had acne for 12 years ( from age 14 until 26 ) then I read a book called Sugar Blues, which explained that acne is caused by sugar. I gave up sugar, and in three days my acne completely disappeared. I've also discovered that corn syrup causes acne as severely as sugar does. The only sweetener that I've ever tried that never caused me any acne at all is a product called unsulphured molasses. I hope this is helpful.

hi echoli, it was very brave of you to post those old pictures of yourself and I totally understand how you feel. my acne use to look A LOT like yours, and i hated them. but fortunately i have learned how to manage it so it has gotten a lot better in the past year, it took me a looong time but i finally figured out whats good n not good so congratz for winning over ur acne too! hope ur skin is still doing well, and oh, for scars, i use something called mandelic serum, maybe u can check that out.

Use Queen Helen a Mint Julep Mud Mask or Nu-Skin Glacial Maraine "Epoch" Mus MaskIt's the closest thing to a cure for acne. Also, just get a good soap with it too, but NOT just by itself.(Neutrogena) Drink a 1/2 gallon-1 gallon of water all day everyday. NO Greasy Hamburgers or "Milk" Chocolate. Always wash with soapy water around your mouth after eating!

I suffered from acne for 12 years, then I read a book called Sugar Blues, by a man named William Dufty. He explained that acne is caused by white sugar(sucrose). I gave up white sugar immediately, and my acne completely disappeared within three days. I also discovered, through trial and error, that corn syrup also caused me acne, but for some reason, unsulphured molasses did not. I hope this might help someone!

It worked for me. I found out on my own.
I'd seen dermatologists for decades. NONE of them ever suggested cutting out dairy products.
I swear, the AMA is paid off by people to keep their mouths shut. It really makes me mad.
AND think about this. Doctors, most of the time, don't talk about causes, they are in the business of selling you treatments.
Think about that. They continue to let you suffer, so you can come back over and over, they get paid for your visits, they support prescriptions..etc

yeah, I feel ya girl, I am still struggling with acne after 6 years and it's coming to a slow end, but my face has paid for it with scarring, and I felt the same way when people would talk to me, I always thought they were looking/staring (and sometimes they actually were) at my acne and not listening. I had the same problem, and I've been using the Ambi Fade Cream, and it's actually worked pretty well. After about a month you can really see a difference. So I recommend that (plus it's only like $4).

Have you thought of trying scar gel? I haven't heard of it used for acne scars, but when I worked at a Pharmacy two of the pharmacists said that it really does work on scars. It speeds up the healing process, so the skin in that area with flake a lot. Oh and they said you have to apply it a lot of times throughout the day. Anyways, I haven't tried it yet. I still have acne, so I'm gonna work on that first. I'm hoping the products you recommended will work for my skin too. Thanks!

i use oxy too! I is really AWESOME i also use Duac it's a spot treatment but you have to get it as a perscription duac is really amazing it copletly takes my breakouts away by the next day also you have to be carfull mixing products sometimes ingredient in skin products can mix and create a breakout (try oxy wipes for oily skin)you really have picked great skin products i use all of the stuff you use and i know they work great!!
