  • lol all that and he used CRT monitor loll

  • DUDE THIS IS SO FUCKING AWESONNNNNN RIGHT NOW I'M BUILDING A WATER SYSTEM FOR MY COMPUTER BUT NOW YOU GAVE ME A FUCKING GREAT IDEA THANK YOUUUUUU . YOU ARE GOD

  • your psu fan is off :-)

  • HOLY CRAP, DONT TELL ME YOU GOT A OLD FAT SCREEN TO SUCH A COMPUTER?! Go buy a 27" Full HD LED screen!!!!!! >.<

  • I have a question, maybe it´s stupid but I want to learn: how much time will the dry ice be able to cold down my CPU without having to add more or chaging it?...

  • AWSOMWWWWWWWWWW

  • Did you break the world record?

  • nope, but I got to 5.83 Ghz on this run.

With liquid nitrogen and an e8600 (instead of the e8500 here), I got to 6.261 Ghz =)

  • the world record is like 7.5 ghz

  • @arsenedevos actually, the world record is ~8.1Ghz on a Cedar Mill P4. But this is faster for basically all computational tasks; it has 2 cores and each one is much more power ful than the WR CPU

  • @eligray The WR now is with Cedar mill p4 347 at 8199mhz , with a fully modded p35-t2r , i got with p4 631 5955 mhz , for it you need a good pot , dice sucks with it .

  • @overclock1366 Very nice! and I'm sorta surprised to hear it was on a DFI board... I've heard that the old commando boards were the best. I've got an F1EE and LN2 now, so I should have fun at MIT next year! (hoping for unlimited free LN2)

  • whats the point in this....

they will have cpus @ about 8Ghz with out doin all this this shit in about a year or 2

  • If they release a 8 Ghz CPU in 2 years I'll have it at 15Ghz BEEYATCH!! lmao

In all seriousness, CPU clock frequencies aren't going to jump much (if at all) in the future. Pentium 4 chips with 3.33Ghz stock frequencies came out many many years ago, and Intel's new highest end chips (for both penryn and nehalem architectures) only match that core frequency.

  • Even if they do then you will over be able to overclock it even higher then 8Ghz. Reasoning is its fun to do, like putting a big block in a car and heading down to the drag track even if it is useless daily driving.

  • bring ur pc to antarctica and bomb it with dry ice then overclock it to about 8ghz and then play fsx or crysis on highest settings, lol.

  • how did you put in 2 power supplies?

  • Easy- Just wire the fans, drives, and all other peripheral devices to a cheapo PSU; then only plug the mobo and GPU into the high-quality (less noisy) PSU.

  • haha i was looking around after this video and now i have 3 power suupplies in mine. 1 for graphicts cards (dual gts 250s)1 for hdds/cds. and one for everything else i can possibly find

  • LOL nice man :)

But the idea behind it was to increase the power quality to the important components, so I recommend you just plug everything important into your highest-quality PSU if it can handle it.

  • yea the graphics are going into a 700 watt(thats what i overclock)....soooo yep:)

  • Umm no crysis is a video game that uses 75% GPU and about 3 threads of the 8 in a good CPU so it wouldn't be a good showcase of ur CPU clock try encoding video and show the speed difference at different clock speeds

  • Probably the best way to show how powerful this is is by playing Crysis on Ultra High settings...

  • please give me the components and where to buy please reply

  • very great video i like song what is the name?becuse i like the bass of it hehe 5*

  • "Bleep #1" by "Motor"

    Thanks =)

  • THANK YOU VERY MUCH

  • was it stable?

  • it was stable enough to run my benchmarks. I have a phase change unit for daily use, and that keeps me at a comfortable 5Ghz =)

  • nice work

  • Thanks man =). EOCF?

  • yea dellysmelly

  • hey whats the active window at 308

  • setfsb =)

  • Eli, you are such a badass. I'm honored to know you.

  • why thank you!

  • if you need any LN2 help just ask :)

  • lol i love the keywords :)

  • awesome dudes!

and just wait, my LN2 dewar shipped out today =D

  • i wonder how high the i7 965 can get with ln2..

  • well the i7 can go to like 4.2 gigaherz on air cooling

  • about 5.3 Ghz to be superpi 1M stable

  • 5.0GHz+

  • nice vid man !!

  • great video, great song. nice mate!

  • nice benching action.. but next time it might be good idea to take the board out from the case. :D

  • easier this way =)

  • nice benching run

  • thanks!

  • Dry ice?

Hmmm i wouldent ever try that, Booom!

  • nice bench session

  • ... ummmmmmmm
