  • Steph fry for pope! :D

  • Comment removed

  • @Simetra666 That's what I was thinking the whole time!

  • he seems a bit down here. not feeling his best perhaps, he seems a bit low of spirit

  • Stephen Fry is more of a man than the majority of straight men.

  • Barry, what are you doing interviewing Reaver?

  • Okay, I smoke and drink coffee at the same time all the time, my weight fluctuates and I'm gay as well. He and I are made for each other *SWOON*

  • @drumgroovy GO TO HIM!

  • @karlgookey I WISH!!

  • He was checking out the 4 poofs lol

  • @audreyrene31 Definitely. A beautiful soul and character. The person inside matters the most.

  • I feel so bad for Stephen -- you can actually tell on his interviews when he's going through a depressive phase...I think this was one of them.

  • Stephen thinks the female body is "utterly charming"! That's the cutest thing I have ever heard!

  • Around 2:01-2:02 Stephen seems to look Jonathan up and down and appraise him quite soberly, possibly thinking "what an arse" or something alike that.

  • 0:38 I'm guessing that's a lifelong habit

  • mr. stephen fwy

  • I close my eyes while listening to this and all I can see is Reaver and Barry Hatch from Fable series XD omg.

  • the point is that...WAIT WHAT'S THE POINT?

  • Stephen is so right intelligence is as intelligence does.

  • IT IS SO SO SWEET TO SEE STEPHEN SQUIRM!!!!

  • Talking about Emma Thomson's lady bits is the only time i have seen Stephen Fry at a loss for words.

  • if tom jones can be a knight .. why cant this man?!!!

  • @SaulMeyersz this is far from verbatim, but in a friend-of-friend-of-friend-endless way I have heard that he's discreetly refused the honour.

  • his discussion on language is incredibly insightful and eloquent

  • I dunno, Mr. Fry. English is my second language, and I love Shakespeare, but I DO find his words are like puzzles sometimes....heck, LOTSA times. ^_^

  • GOOD GOD ITS REAVER AND BARRY BUT NOT ACTUALLY THEM BUT ITS LIKE THEM AND MY BRAIN CANNOT HANDLE THIS IT JUST CAN NOT

  • ugh what is it about this man that interests me so much.. i think i've seen pretty much every second of footage of stephen fry on that is available on youtube.

    what a hero

  • I could listen to this guy all day

  • Honk honk. xD

  • If I pretended to be gay would my female friends show up at my door step and flash their breasts at me?

  • thumbs up if you can here jonathon's brain trying to understand

  • english indeed is the strangest language ;)

  • @anotherLLAMA hell, you're only 14, give yourself some time. the fact that you are interested in stephen fry means there is something inherently smart and inquisitive about you. don't sell yourself short, mate.

  • His accent makes him seem 300% smarter

  • Stephen Fry is just awesome. There are no two ways around it.

  • @anotherLLAMA i'm the same as you except 16, i'm sure you do have talents though its up to us and nobody else to find them

  • there ARE the wrong number with ikea

    i'm serious i been there.

    hes not wrong

  • Stephen Fry is the Best

  • I agree with everything, except that English has the widest vocabulary in the world. I speak fluent Russian, and it is MUCH broader than English, and I suspect many other languages are too.

  • @xBellatrixLestrangex I'll respectfully indicate that Russian is much broader on grammar grounds. Declensions of nouns and conjugation of verbs do NOT count as independent words from which they stem (root word).

English has (after much diligent assessment ) volumes of words on top of any language when you compare words in their basic forms.

  • @xBellatrixLestrangex

    Lopatin's Dictionary: 163,000 words

    Oxford Dictionary: 250,000 words

(not including technical or slang terms, or words that belong to multiple word classes. Were you to include these however, the English language has over 1million words, expanding at a rate of 8500 per year)

  • @goldeneye24fly Homosexuality and bisexuality are actually fairly common in animals

  • i love him he truly is endearing !

  • i looooove this bloke! xx

  • Stephen Fry for Prime Minister!

  • Poetry is not intellectual? Oh my, Stephen...have you read Eminescu?

  • @marrydruli i think he meant you dont have to be intellectual to enjoy it or do it yourself.

  • @goldeneye24fly have you just confused homosexuality with gender realignment? It's that kind of homophobia that sums up ignorance... Because depite the fact that gay people are inherently attracted to other men they are anatomically (and im sure you would like to check) men, also i assume that being gay would make a man feel no less of a man... You make me ashamed to be straight!.. Sorry.. Just i thought i would show people that working class heterosexuals aren't all fucking wankers like yourself

  • @goldeneye24fly wow you really are a waste of space, as a straight man u make me feel ashamed. This kind of intolerance is not good for the world and you should be removed from the world.

  • @goldeneye24fly Homosexuality are found in every species on earth. Homophobia is found in one one, guess who.

  • @goldeneye24fly The occurrence of homosexuality in nature is roughly the same as it is in humans, because are included in the umbrella term "Nature". Research before making stupid assumptions.

  • i failed music theory.

  • is it bad that i want him to read me stories at night? preferably harry potter?! XD

  • God I love how he talks. :-)

  • I hope Stephen's Doctor Who episode surfaces at some point.

  • Love Stephen. I wish I actually spent my life with people like him.

  • 'HONK HONK'. Jonathon Ross is probably shit in bed.

  • @audreyrene31 I completely agree. I think its his unequaled personality that, more than anything else, just turns what might otherwise be a rather ordinary figure into one of beauty and grace.

  • alan, alan, alan, alan

  • Jonathan Ross just looks fascinated! i love this!

  • I see the singers and I cant help think of Bill Bailey on Room 101 playing piano for the "mind reading dog Colliewobble" back before he was a known legend.

  • Woss is an unfunny nob, who is about as welcome as Hitler at a Bar Mitzvah. Stephen Fry is excellent as usual.

  • it will be a sad day when we lose Stephen, whether it be death or God forbid America XD

  • hes so cute (stephen not ross) =P

  • hes so cute (stephen not ross) :P

  • Stephen Fry is like a real life Dumbledore lol crooked nose, very smart, kind and gay! Love him!

  • @Diazreta Dumbledore was gay?

  • @KosmoAntoninus Yes. At least according to the author

  • @KosmoAntoninus Yes JK Rowling said that she had always thought and written him to be gay :)

  • @Diazreta haha, i never thought about that. you're absolutely right!

  • @Diazreta What?!! Stephen Fry is gay??!! Why am i so late to find this out? :3

  • @goldeneye24fly You are a waste of words.

  • @goldeneye24fly THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT! People like you make me feel sad to be straight. Stephen Fry is one of the cleversest minds in this country. Unlike you.

  • @goldeneye24fly Not gonna bother with a rant as you probably won't understand what I'm on about. But, surely you understand this: You're a stupid cunt.

  • @Diazreta I've said that too! And he's really tall.

  • @Diazreta Dumbeldore is gay?

  • @Trumben According to JK Rowling :)

  • @Diazreta Oh, I didn't know that. Cool. Thanks man :)

  • @Diazreta or stuck up in love with his own knowledge who trys to play it off and disrespectful but hey thats my opinion

  • honk honk and a thumbs up. Jonathan is a comical genius.

  • @kreamowheat and i'm Theodore, Archbishop of Canterbury.

  • Irish has 5 times the vocabulary of English. Fact.

  • @TheseDigitalTimes What facts do you have for this claim?

  • jonathan ross was hilarious in this

  • I have a pretty girlfreind...but...if I had to choose between her or Fry, I am afraid she knows when to pack up.

  • @bfoaliali loll :P

  • I'll have to disagree with you here Stephen. We all know language, yes, but we don’t all have the same level of utilizing language, as you’re ironically proving yourself the moment you're stated it.

  • @wimscheers I don't think he is saying we all have the same level of language, he is simply saying we all have language to express. I doesn't matter what level of utilizing it: we all have it to use.

  • @wimscheers That's not his point, his point is that we're all capable of expressing ourselves through poetry if we are capable of language. He's not dismissing the fact that there exists an intellectual hierarchy amongst the populations, only that you don't have have things like musical ability to write poetry, as its sole basis is the expression of language ya goofnigger

  • @DanimalLawlz

"all capable of expressing through poetry if we are capable of language." No we're not. Did you ever read a piece of literature, saw a moving monologue, heard a great poem, that you connected with and thought, damn, that's me, that's my pain, my love, my life ... Well, I can’t write that. When I hear Stephen rant against religion or elevate the beauty of life, I KNOW I cannot convert those feelings in these words, let alone be able to evoke those feeling in others.

  • @wimscheers Perhaps you aren't able to philosophize, fantasize, or theorize as he does about human thought and language, but if you write something like "feral pheasants philandering phenomenally in the forests", (there's some silly poetry right there) you're still being poetic. We can all create consonance, dictate dissonance, etc. Obviously not all of us can enlighten the world to lovely literature like Shakespeare, but he's saying we can all attempt to.

  • @DanimalLawlz

"silly poetry ... literature like Shakespeare but he's saying we can all attempt to" And we all try, in our own way. But, and this might just be me, I fall in the gap between silly and brilliant. Hell, I'm silly, but I'm to aware to enjoy it. I want to be able to express myself like the grandmasters of language, to put a feeling into words and reach others. But I can’t, I’m silly. And that wouldn’t be a problem if I didn’t realize this. But yes, I get the point, and it saddens me

  • fuck you

  • i have reliesed something a lot of major geniuses are gay, leonardo da vinci, micheanegllo (soz cant spell for shit), oscar wylde, and of course stephen fry... but there are even more

  • @darthesgoobis123 shakespeare

  • @killerkid123100 thankyou i knew i forgot one

  • Stephen Fry to be knighted! Like if you agree

  • Man, I always felt embarrassed about how I didn't know what the names of a single note were on the clarinet. But I could read the music and play the hell out of it. Doesn't bother me anymore :P.

  • @kirananne ...What are you talking about? Stephen is known as one of the nicest people on television, and I'm sure there's a very good reason for that.

  • Comment removed

  • @kirananne What the hell are you on about Stephen is wonderful and at least he's not as shallow as you "not handsome"? how is that relevant at all and in my opinion I think he is very handsome :)

and how is he racist?? why are people always so easily offended get a grip -_- jesus.

  • @kirananne

    troll.

  • I've never found anyone talking about flat-pack furniture so interesting before :)

  • What a brilliant man. One of life's true winners, we could all learn a lot from not only his intelligence and creativity, but also his attitude to the pursuit of knowledge.

  • i'm gonna buy that i book think!

  • Stephen Fry is the English equivalent of Oscar Wilde, both are timeless legends.

  • @GoodBadButNotUgly sorry, Oscar wilde was english btw... but yes he's awesome

  • @Hydramus89 Are you taking the fucking piss or what? Oscar Wilde was born in Dublin city Ireland, how uneducated are you eh? (16 October 1854 – 30 November 1900) My god you are a serious a dumb dumb.

  • @GoodBadButNotUgly Woah, steady on! So he made a small mistake, you don't have to bite his bollocks off...

  • @GoodBadButNotUgly Making an error in something trivial as that doesn't make you "a dumb dumb," getting angry about, however, does

  • @Hydramus89 I think you'll find Wilde was Irish actually.

  • @Hydramus89 Oscar Wilde was Irish, fool.

  • Brilliant.

  • How young does Jonathon look?!

  • America could really use a talk show host like Jonathan Ross. He's one cool cat. And Stephen Fry's not too shabby either

  • @jugwinedrunk Have you watched the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson? I find him quite funny, quick-witted and intelligent.

  • @Tinaruon Yeah, he's alright but Letterman and Leno are so boring in my opinion

  • @jugwinedrunk No argument from me there :)

  • No, Fry don't come up with a view I don't agree with! I fucking hate poetry. >:|

  • stephen fry is one of Britains true treasures, NOT cheryl cole.

  • So freaking cute <3

  • I'm still disgruntled that Fry's episode of Who was considered too complex for production in Series 1. Can't get past my annoyance. Even after five years.

  • I adore Stephen Fry. I think he would be a brilliant teacher.

  • i would really really really love it if rowan atkinson comes to the show someday

  • show doesn't exist anymore :(

  • @geitepung Does Wossy not have a new talk show on itv now? Either that or there's scheduled to be one. I either saw it advertised or had a dream about it, I don't remember :L x

  • @yaser0 Rowan Atkinson doesn't do interviews as he has a speech impediment (I believe he stammers).

  • LOOK....I CANT OPEN IT!!!

  • Stephen Fry wins.

  • for every fable fan this video is titled reaver on batrry hatch

  • @starnjuy I loved the fact Jonathan was doing a voice in Fable 3 :P

  • Whe he tlaks about the female naked body oh my god he is soooooooooooooooo funny

  • @TheNo97 Same voice.

  • stephen has got the weirdest nose i ve ever seen! :)

  • @DuffCowboy It wasn't created that way - he was in some accident, or fight (don't remember which), and broke it, and it grew back together crookedly.

  • Seeing as Stephen Fry would trounce any homophobic pastor in dialectic in a heartbeat, I think that says it all.

  • A real british gentleman who talks about sex in the most beautiful way.... lol

  • I love how Jonathan Ross ups his intellectual game around Mr Fry ahah

  • ohemgee. they're so adorable. <3

  • He went to Cambridge...he's a comic legend...he's written on poetry and language...

and even STEPHEN FRY can't assemble furniture from Ikea!!!!!

  • stephen fry is a national treasure.

  • @sam12123434

Stephen Fry is an inter-national treasure. Plenty of us outside Britain love him too.

    "Pim-hole!"

  • @sam12123434 Jonathan Ross too, huh?

  • @sam12123434 here bloody here!

  • I write poetry at times, when I'm not playing brutal black/death metal music and spinning my hair like a nutter. Stephen's quite right, expression through words is achievable by anyone, just as expressing through music is.

  • i write poetry. do you care?

  • anyone tried the audio transriber? absolutely ridiculous

  • AAAAGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! at 3:16 the ghost of Jade Goody is in the backround :O

  • Man I love stephen fry. his so intellectual and I like that.

  • My god, this must be the best way of explain what poetry is.... Great analogy!!!

  • "Clevewest man I've ever met... Mr Stephen Fwy." ... :P

  • I think the problem a lot of people have with poetry is that learning poetry in school is so unenjoyable and daunting. The teachers and profs in high school and University force you to look at the poems so carefully, with a fine tooth comb. What does the author mean? What did that metaphor mean? It completely ruins the purity of poetry.

  • I wuv Jonathan Woss.

  • Ross looks like a small child next to this hero

  • I'm not sure that I've ever seen anything more... *English* than this. :p

  • The book Stephen wrote: The Ode Less Traveled.

That would be how Jonathan Ross would call the book from which Stephen got his title! The Road Less Traveled.

  • He got all flustered just thinking about Emma's breasts, haha oh god I would have loved to have been at university with those two.

  • I could listen to Stephen all day - I loves him I do!!

  • STEPHEN FRY IS AMAZING

  • LOL at the fact that even someone as smart as Stephen Fry gets utterly flustered while discussing naked women.
