@profdodo1 Every singer or singing group has an artist's license to interpret a song according to their taste and mood. I don't find any mistake in this group's interpretation.A square tempi is a neophyte way of singing. And they are not neophytes!
A really great version of this beautiful piece. I loved the slow pace of your version and the room you gave yourselves to add expression to the words.
@souffleruk I partly agree with you: The expression is good. I think the pace is a bit to slow, but it is okay if the conducter remembers the flow. But the flow is NOT excisting! The conducter seems a bit schizo, because he switches between different paces all the time and puts fermatoes into the tune..It is a shame, because the choir is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!
Choir and sound excellent but tempi fail the overall performance.
