ive Grown up with cats all my life, i had a cat who would growl and hiss at you while your petting them then purr and paw at your hand if you stopped.

i also had a cat who was overly afraid of my electric hair trimmer, he would smack it as hard as he could then run away would jump and even hiss. after awhile though i left it where he could see it till he overcame being afraid of it and now he doesn't run. if you think this is abuse then you have no idea what abuse is.

This cat is not being abused. I used to play with my cat all the time ---- pick her up, kiss her, put her on my shoulder, etc. She'd strike me with her paw wanting some attention, and if I ignored her, she'd give me a love bite on my arm. These people are not abusing this animal. If the animal were truly angry, it would certainly let them know. I knew when my cat was pissed off and I'd stay away ---------- only to have here return in about ten minutes.
