  • from the designer; it's about time i told how the marketing peole got it wrong. The "2 hp" was intended to refer to the power of an outboard to achieve the same speed, but judge for yourself. Ken Kingsbury. upwind@oyster.net.ck

  • Two people can NOT produce two horse power, the speed would depend upon the peoples stamina, 6 adults or half a ton would not be able to fit on that and even if it did it would cause massive drag (or did you prioritize buoyancy over speed?) three times more efficient then what? a squid? "virtually impossible to capsize"?! Catch a wave one meter in height and the tracking will cause it to turn sideways and the wave will tumble it easily.

  • It does look like fun though!

  • I'd have fun making this into a survival boat.

  • 2 people = 2 hp = what a load of bollocks

  • Are the canoe paddles there in case you break your legs?

  • Nice project. U made a comment saying "Two people are easily able to generate 2hp"??

I think 0.30hp is more realistic.

  • length and width?

super nice set up and lovely setting

  • brilliant!

  • If you think this is a 'quantum leap' then you've never seen a hydrofoil. I think the 2-couch idea is better.

  • put two couches on it, have 6 people pedal.

  • not amazed.

  • Very neat idea! A question about it: Are the two foils linked to move in opposite directions simultaneously, or are they not connected? If they were linked the boat could be driven solo, which could be useful.
